The newest offering from author Dani Amore doesn't disappoint - in fact, this may be the best one yet! Incredibly fast paced, unpredictable and will leave you wanting more.

They say to 'write about what you know' and in this tale, Dani Amore will have you believing she's spent time in a past life as part of the Mafia, an attorney, a secretary and a part time hooker - such is the authority that she writes with. Somehow, you can sympathize with each of the characters in their own strange ways.

This one is more than just a Mafia thriller, it's a story of a mother's love, a lover's desires, and the desire to do what's right.. and what's right is to do anything you have to in order to survive.

If you're already a fan, grab this one now and hang on for another wild ride.. if you've never taken a chance on Dani Amore, now is the time - you'll find yourself going back to read the rest of her fantastic books!

I loved this book. Dani was not afraid to make everyone of these characters seriously flawed, including: a bunch of mafia thugs; unlikeable FBI agents; and a single Mom who's a part-time hooker. The most likeable character for me was a cold-blooded hit man...but it totally worked. There were so many interesting twists and turns throughout the book, especially the ending, which brought a big smile to my face.

I've read most of Dani Amore's novels. This one has taken the lead as my favorite! Multi layered plots and colorful characters with more than one surprise at the end. This is what sets Dani apart from some other crime novelists. Killing The Rat introduces us to Tommy Abrocci. He works closely to Mob Boss, Vincenzo Ramano, actually too close. He soon becomes the rat that Vincenzo wants killed, because Tommy gets greedy. Dear Reader, hold on to your hat, because Dani Amore has created a category 5 storm in Killing The Rat! A must read if you enjoy a fast paced, but easy to read and follow storyline. Dani gives the knockout punch on this one!

This book was diabolical! I was intrigued by the many different angles and people involved with the story. How cool was it to have a part time hooker get involved on a "date" and then unwittingly get "tricked" herself into a tryst with a set of twins...This is only the start of a number bad things that happens to her and her eight year old son. Here's a lesson to be learned- don't steal from the Mafia, especially a man who just had a mastectomy! I don't know how Ms. Amore thinks of these plot lines. The book has got some real gut wrenching scenes that keep you on the edge of your seat. I didn't see the ending coming with a few turns and twists. A great read!

I liked her other books better as this one had too many characters and plots going.
It was hard to put it down and return to it later, I would be going, wait, who is this person again? So it could have been better.

Mix together a Mafia turncoat, a ruthless Mob boss, a crazy FBI agent, and a beautiful single Mom trying to make ends meet, and you've got the basic ingredients of a non-stop thriller called KILLING THE RAT. The book starts off with a bang and never stops. This was my first Dani Amore novel but there will be plenty more on my shelf, and soon. An excellent read.
