Make this album a Definite Addition to your CD Collection,
By
This review is from: Killing Time (Audio CD)
Let me start off by saying that Tina Cousins is making her way up to become the top-selling, international artist in the world. I mean, COME ON, even if you heard one, two, or several songs from this album, here's what you can establish: she's very talented and absolutely gorgeous! Also, what I like about her the most, she doesn't stick with one type of genre; she has a mixture of dance, pop ballads, disco, and slow rhythmic tunes that will make you come back for more. Make this album a definite addition to your CD collection. If you don't believe me, look at my review of each song below and you decide:1. Killin' Time - Great club beat to dance to; like the way how Tina changes her voice from mellow to groove. 2. Pray - Her first smash hit from this album; gets you moving no matter what mood you're in. 3. Angel - Mellow groove dance song; one of her best tracks that shows her vocal ability. 4. Live & Breathe - Slow dance song with excellent use of ambience and drums; another great vocal performance. 5. Forever - Her second smash hit from this album; in the style of Eurodance. 6. Breathless - In the style of a classic pop ballad; think of Celine Dion and Mariah Carey put together; again shows another great vocal performance. 7. Nothing To Fear - Disco beat, a touch of modern dance samples thrown in, and Tina's voice makes this song a definite listen. 8. Turn Back Time - My #1 favorite song from the album; a beautiful, yet sad, song about how one girl, who finally realizes that the guy who loved and cared for her, cries every night about how she threw it all away and hopes there will come a day where she will be able to turn back the clock and spend the rest of her life with him (I cry everytime when I listen to this song); spectacular vocal performance by Tina. 9. The Fool Is Me - Think of Sade when you listen to this song; a slow rhythmic tune. 10. Until The Day - Same as Track 9. 11. Mysterious Times - A definite club starter; an excellent closing song to a great CD.

FABULOUS,
This review is from: Killing Time (Audio CD)
These songs are all good. Its pop music but its good. You can listen to the whole thing, I rarely listen to every song on an album. Its a few years now I dont care its still amazing. Its not very famous (anywhere) but its fabulous. My favourite songs are angel, turn back time and until the day. I like all the songs alot. If you like good female singers you will like this. None of the songs ever get skipped.

HATS OFF TO TINA...A GREAT DEBUT,
By Jordan Galea (AUSTRALIA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Killing Time (Audio CD)
Tina Cousins first hit the dance scene with a colaboration with Sash!- Mysterious Times. When I first heard this song, I instantly bought the single and awaited for her album to surface (likewise with Sash!). Tina proved her career with her first Australian solo release FOREVER...a great dance tune with a up beat pace that doesn't go overboard on the electronic sounds. Her voice is the asset to the song, and the chorus is quite catch like most of herb songs. The album doesn't scream dance music. It also shows her blues/jazz style with tracks like UNTIL THE DAY and THE FOOL IS ME. But, if you are into the dance scene, do not be taken away by that comment...this album still delivers in that area!!! The song PRAY is another dance song that has a choir feel to it when the chrous kicks in. ANGEL is a breathy light dance tune, likewise with LIVE AND BREATHE! The opening track is a great intro to the album, KILLIN' TIME illustrates the dance feel of the whole album...so if you like the first track- you'll love the album for sure. If you are lucky enough, try and score yourself the tour edition...it has some great remixes- i believe it was only an Australian release seeing that Australia was her biggest market for her music! It's now 2003- and we are still waiting for her to dance her way back- C'mon Tina- we are waiting with hats off!!!!

Trance Pop at it's finest,

If you love the sounds of Alice Deejay, and Amber then this album is for you. Tina Cousins i read somewhere used to be a model now turned singer. She's both beautiful and talented at her vocals. I don't have the album yet but I heard some clips of her tracks and they are very good. To listen to her tracks go to audiostreet.com The only song I don't like from this album is "The Fool Is Me". It's a ballad. Watch out for her songs to become instant hits in nightclubs everywhere.

Avid music fan of every genre, New Jersey,

Fantastic! Possibly her best two works with DJ Sash! Mysterious Times and Just Around The Hill. Just another example of great talent untapped and unrecognized in the US. Lets get this baby where she belongs; at the top of the charts and in the limelight. Yes, there IS life beyond rap.

Killer Dance Music,

This review is from: Killing Time (Audio CD)
Tina Cousins is one of my all time favorite dance artists, next to Australian act Madison Avenue, Kristine W. and Amber. "Killing Time" is absolutely amazing. I've been a huge fan of hers since I first heard "Mysterious Times" on a import cd. Her voice is tremendous, the songs are excellent. I'm shocked that radio here in the US has not caught on to this amazing woman. My favorite tracks has to be "Forever", "Pray", "Mysterious Times, and "Killing Time". Those songs are classic club songs. What endears me to Tina Cousins is that she doesn't oversings like certain pop divas do (Faith Hill, Celine Dion). She controls her voice especially on the dance tracks. I love this cd and I have already put her remixed ep on my wish list.

One of the best voices in dance music ever!,
By
This review is from: Killing Time (Audio CD)
I first heard of Tina when i got her import single "Forever" - and from the first "just hold me now.." she had me hooked! afterwards i got her "Pray" and "Angel" import singles - so when i heard she was gonna have a full length cd - i was sooo excited. I, myself, couldn't wait for this cd to be released in the US - so i got it imported through a local dance music store. If you are reading this right now - you've GOT to get this disc - it's a steal! if you were to get it imported like i did - you'd have to pay over two-times this price - DON"T PASS THIS ONE UP!

Where Has She Gone ???,
By Lizzie D (Wellington New Zealand) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Killing Time (Audio CD)
I first heard Tina Cousins in the 80s performing on Top of the Pops (UK) when she performed her hit collaboration with Sash - mysterious times. It was a so so song but then I had the privilege of seeing her perform in Australia and once I had heard Pray, Killing Time and many of the others on this CD I was hooked. Brilliant melodic (because you can sing a long to it) trance from a very talented woman. The shame is what has happened ? where has she gone ? I am desperate for another CD from Tina and there has been nothing since she released this.

Packed With Hits!,
By A.J. McRill (USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Killing Time (Audio CD)
This CD completely surprised me. I had seen her name here and there, but was only available on import, so I hesitated to spend the extra money on it. Boy, was I wrong to wait on this! EVERY song on this album could be a hit, if given the chance. Most of the attention will be given to the obvious dance hits "Pray", "Killing Time", "Angel", "Mysterious Times" and "Forever", but it's really the ballads and midtempo cuts like "Live & Breathe" and "The Fool Is Me" that caught my attention. Her voice could easily be mistaken for Celine Dion's on these songs, but still with her own personal touch. Another good ballad is "Turn Back Time". On "The Fool Is Me" she almost sounds like a more mature Cathy Dennis (remember "Touch Me All Night Long" from the 80s?). This album is primarily being described as a dance album, as well it should, with several massive dance hits oversees, but it is a well-rounded album and thoroughly satisfying. I know I will not get tired of it any time soon. Don't hesitate to buy it - run, don't walk to the store to get it (Or you can buy it on Amazon.com, of course)!.

the perfect dance recording,

It is pretty RARE these days to find an emotionally fluid dance recording or song for that matter. Tina Cousin's recording is excellent the songs really work and flow wonderfully. I wish she would do a song with Robert Miles
