After reading Kiln Fired Glass-Copper & Metal Inclusions, I was armed and ready to teach my new workshops using my favorite copper embossing tool...my Tundra Truck! Boyce Lundstrom covers all the technical information and throws in a bit of humor throughout this book. There are numerous photos and examples on techniques that will have your mind whirling with ideas. It is hard to choose which book or technique I enjoy more, Kiln Fired Glass-Copper & Metal Inclusions or Glass Raku. Both books have been such an asset in my teaching, I am so thankful Boyce is back writing these great reads.

This book was a disappointment. There were really only a couple of ideas in this booklet. There are many, many photos - so perhaps some might be inspired or find this useful as a coffee table book. I did enjoy perusing the photos of the work done by this author and others using this technique, but I just did not feel that there was enough content to justify the price. Previous publications by this author had set my expectations to a level that was just underachieved by the author with this publication. I felt that the price was a bit high given the lean content and the paperback format.

This is not a "book" but more like a pamphlet. There is some good information and ideas but I'm disappointed in what I received for the amount of money I paid.

In this excellent little book, the author's latest, Boyce Lundstrom continues to inspire glass artists with his prodigious creative energy and amazing technical know-how. Richly illustrated, the book gives step by step instructions on how to create original works of art using commonly available materials. Perhaps more importantly, Boyce fosters in his students an attitude of creative play and wild experimentation. Whether you are a novice or a veteran glass worker or somewhere in between, this book book will both turn you on and give you a road map to new territories in glass fusion.

Boyce Lundstrom's Raku in glass finally gives us an excuse to let our inner mad scientist out to play. Mixing the powders and reactive earth reminded me of Highschool chemistry class. The book is easy to follow, has beautiful photos, and plenty of suggestions for the next project. This book makes it ok to experiment and every time I open the kiln it is like opening a present. I can't wait to see what he comes out with next.

This easy to read description of how to include copper and other metals in glass is just the book for those venturing into metal inclusions. I loved all the pictures. They not only told the story of how to but opened up new avenues of inspiration. Thank you for the introduction. I especially liked the part about using your car to "auto" emboss copper. Such a fun read.

PK got it right on the money. Very little content and very disapointing considering his early books. 37 pages of mostly pictures makes this way overpriced.

Fantastic book that couldn't have been written by anyone other than Boyce. It covered all the questions I wanted to know about metal and glass. After reading this book I was able to create auto embossed copper designs with my Ford Escape. This book is enjoyed by all of my students as one of their favorites.

Glad Boyce has decided to write user friendly books again.

A good reference for the beginner and a couple of new things for the experienced warm glass artist.

Here is a fun book to challenge your glass fusing skills. I am sorry that Boyce Lundstrom is not around to write more. He was a gifted man.
