5.0 out of 5 stars Kim Possible Season 1- A Series that Needs to Be Released

Just to let everyone know, I really enjoy this series. It may be Disney's best animated series ever. Basically, it is a series that is about a teenage crime fighter Kim Possible & her best friend Ron Stoppable, who have the task of dealing with worldwide, family, and school issues every day.

3.0 out of 5 stars Love it, but...
I love this show. I've been waiting a long time for this show to come out DVD, but unfortunately, it is not presented in the widescreen format that it should be made in. I like to see all the action. Hopefully it will be released in a widescreen version soon so I can enjoy it as it was meant to be seen.

5.0 out of 5 stars Kim Possible Season 1- A Series that Needs to Be Released, March 14, 2010
By
This review is from: Kim Possible: Season 1 (DVD)

Just to let everyone know, I really enjoy this series. It may be Disney's best animated series ever. Basically, it is a series that is about a teenage crime fighter Kim Possible & her best friend Ron Stoppable, who have the task of dealing with worldwide, family, and school issues every day.

Personally, this is a series that is long overdue for a season release. Plus, it could be a way to bring back more seasons of this great show. I mean are you not eager to see Kim & Ron eventually get married and have a family? I know I am. I love this show, for it has some great characters, both heroes & villians alike. The action and humor is always fun.

So, my word to Disney is bring out all four seasons on DVD and give us some more seasons of this great animated series. Below I have listed the episodes that are apart of season one.

Episode 1- Crush: The first episode aired. Kim has to stop the evil Dr. Drakken from using stolen Japanese game technology to build a giant robot. Fighting the bad guys, however, is nothing compared to asking a crush out to the upcoming dance.

Episode 2- Sink or Swim: On their way to a cheer competition, the Middleton Cheer squad gets stranded at an old camp with which Ron has a long history. He faces Gill, a high-school mutant who is determined to get his revenge on Ron.

Episode 3- The New Ron: When Ron finds himself gaining attention with a haircut Kim convinced him to get, he attempts to transform his personality as well. When he and Kim go to France to get more Hair-gel, Ron unwittingly inspires a reclusive billionaire to take up a life of crime, and now Kim and the newly changed Ron must save France from a black-out.

Episode 4- Tick Tick Tick: Kim has to fit both missions and detention into her life, after Ron inadvertently causes her to fall foul of substitute teacher Mr. Barkin's "three strikes" tardy policy. The first episode chronologically.

Episode 5- Downhill: A school ski trip leads to 'humiliation nation' when Bonnie manages to place Kim's parents as chaperones; Kim and Ron discover that legendary monsters are actually the mutated experiments of a rogue geneticist.

Episode 6- Bueno Nacho: Kim takes a job at Bueno Nacho to pay for a fashionable jacket, convincing a reluctant Ron to keep her company by applying too. As Ron's career kicks off, making him assistant manager, the evil Dr. Drakken plots to destroy Wisconsin from inside a giant wheel of cheese, capturing Kim in the process. In order to save her, Ron must choose between his career or duty as sidekick.

Episode 7- Number One: The international crime-fighting organization, Global Justice, pairs Kim with their snobby top agent to hunt down the kidnapper of a prominent scientist. Sensing weakness, Bonnie uses the opportunity to make a ploy to become cheer captain.

Episode 8- Mind Games: Drakken's latest scheme accidentally leads to Kim and Ron switching bodies. Kim gets a taste of what it is like to be the unpopular outcast while Ron finds out about life with the burden of actual responsibility.

Episode 9- Attack of the Killer Bebes: Robots which are suspiciously similar to ones designed by Drew Lipsky-one of Dr. Possible's old college buddies, kidnap his friends one by one. Meanwhile, Ron joins the cheerleading squad as the mascot, much to Kim's chagrin.

Episode 10- Royal Pain: To prevent any harm from coming to him, Kim allows the Prince of Rodighan to hide out in Middleton. The snobbish Prince winds up running against her in the school election which is complicated by the arrival of an organization bent on overthrowing the Rodighan monarchy.

Episode 11- Coach Possible: After Dr. James Possible breaks his leg, Kim takes over coaching his soccer team, and drives the twins and the other players insane when her ultra-competitiveness pushes everybody to the breaking point. In between practice, she and Ron try to recover state of the art animatronic animals and a neon-style gas from the thieving Seniors, one of which is coming up with his own evil scheme for the very first time.

Episode 12- Pain King vs. Cleopatra: Kim and Ron get tickets to the big match between wrestlers Pain King and Steel Toe. Ron, unable to get Kim excited about the event, fears that a new friend has come between them. However, a new challenger plans to crash the match with a magical amulet imbuing him with the powers of Anubis.

Episode 13- Monkey Fist Strikes: Kim and Ron help the adventurer Lord Monty Fiske retrieve a monkey statue, ostensibly to give to a museum. Fiske, however, uses it along with the rest of the set to transform into a fearsome kung fu master. When Kim decides to stay with cousin Larry, it is all up to Ron to stop Monkey Fist.

Episode 14- October 31st: While in the process of fighting Drakken, Shego, and Killigan, Kim accidentally has a strange bracelet attached to her wrist. She discovers that the bracelet grows every time she lies, leading to embarrassment when she tries to get out of a series of engagements to attend a party with Josh Mankey.

Episode 15- All the News: Ron fudges a quote into a hot scoop, landing Kim into a forced date with the oblivious quarterback and him a sweet spot on the school paper. His journalistic career runs into trouble, however, when he accuses a TV daredevil of faking her stunts.

Episode 16- Kimitation Nation: A designer copies Kim's mission outfit and turns it into the next fashion trend. While initially hopeful that the sudden popularity of her clothes would allow her to be accepted by seniors, Kim Style is eventually copied by all the girls and even some boys. Drakken, struck by this inspiration, tries to create an army of Kim Possible clones to destroy his foe.

Episode 17- The Twin Factor: Drakken steals mind control technology which he intends to replicate to take over the world. When her parents leave on a retreat Kim is forced to take along her twin brothers, who prove helpful in the end.

Episode 18- Animal Attraction: Kim falls for the latest craze sweeping Middleton High, Animology, which purports to predict personality and romantic compatibility. Along the way, she and Ron have to stop Señor Senior Senior's scheme to destroy the Billionaire's Club and deal with Animology's prediction that Señor Senior Junior is her soul-mate.

Episode 19- Monkey Ninjas in Space: Based upon the Monkey Monk's prediction, Monkey Fist kidnaps the world's smartest monkey and uses the Middleton space center to launch himself into space while Kim faces the humiliation of her Dad, and Ron faces his fear of monkeys.

Episode 20- Ron the Man: Ron is shocked to discover in front of Mr. Barkin's entire class that his rabbi never signed his bar mitzvah certificate. In order to prove his manhood, he wears a strength enhancing ring. Drakken, in the meantime, uses the other rings to attempt to steal an invention Professor Dementor had gotten to first.

Episode 21- Low Budget: When a fight with an alligator ruins her stylish jeans, Kim balks at Ron's suggestion to skip her trendy Club Banana designer apparel and buy from discount Smarty Mart, where they discover a Smarty Mart clerk's plot to use the bar-codes of expired products to destroy the Internet.

As a fan of this great series, I really hope Disney wises up and release this great series on DVD. And to tell all of you the truth, I would love to see more seasons of Kim Possible and at least one live action film. Remember the saying, "She can do anything."

Maybe soon we'll get our wishes and get all four seasons of DVD with some special features to go with them.

5.0 out of 5 stars Superb boxset for a brilliant series!, June 4, 2008
This review is from: Kim Possible: Season 1 (DVD)
Most buyers of this product should already be familiar with the show, Kim Possible - so I'll focus on the boxset itself.

If this is anything like the 3-disc German KP boxset, then the pros include:

+ Great card case, not just a regular plastic case.
+ Brilliant animated menus!
+ 8 Episodes per disc, with excellent clarity.

Cons of the boxset:
- Episodes are not in Widescreen.
- Bonus Features are recycled from past KP DVDs.

However, I was only after the episodes anyway - so I'm still giving the Boxset a 5/5. The brilliant packaging and menu graphics showed me that a lot of effort had gone into producing this Boxset, and it easily blows all the other KP DVDs out of the water! I sincerely hope that Seasons 2, 3 and 4 are released soon. Disney DVD would be mad not to!

4.0 out of 5 stars KP Season 1 at last, January 7, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Disney seems to hold onto TV series and movies, not realizing that there are fans that do want to own their favorite shows. At last, season 1 of Kim Possible is available, so maybe this signals the beginning of other TV series releases from Disney. It includes all 21 episodes. Prior to this set, the closest you could get to the full season was to buy the episodes from iTunes, but you still needed to buy "The Secret Files" in order to get the pilot episode "Crush" and you wouldn't have "October 31st", which is not available in any other commercial release.

The discs include just the episodes and Closed Captioning. No bonus features or commentaries. A little plain for a season set, but it's a step towards the season releases that viewers have come to expect of all TV shows. Season 2 is also available. Hopefully seasons 3 and 4 won't be far behind.

My children loved this show. They still try to watch it whenever they hear an episode may be coming on. It is insane for Disney to not release all four seasons. Even though my children are older now, they would still insist we get the entire series. I would like that as well. It was actually quite entertaining for adults as well. It was pretty funny.

Go ahead Disney and release it while there are enough children around who remember what a great show it is!

5.0 out of 5 stars The Best, November 2, 2011

First let me say Disney should have allowed the series to die on it's own. I cannot say what a shot in the arm this series was to the esteem of young girls, my little niece just loves the character. Question, where are the other two seasons, seasons 3, and 4? I gifted seasons 1, and 2 to my niece last year, but I have not been able to find the last two seasons.

As an animated series goes this was history making, if I recall correctly, this series nearly won an Emmy for best animated series, and as I sat and watched the series with my niece and her little posse, Uncle baby sitter whatched the glee on their little faces with Kim's each victory. They were saddened when they got the news Disney was killing the series. My hope is that Disney will at least make some Kim Possible movies, for the next generation.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love It!, May 23, 2011
This review is from: Kim Possible: Season 1 (DVD)
I love that the show is out on DVDs! The price is still a bit steeper than I was hoping for, but now that I know they're out there, you can bet I'll be watching out for them to go down a bit more :) This show is an example of the Disney Channel at its finest for sure.

5.0 out of 5 stars Kim Possible Season 1 here at last, May 4, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
It has been a long time in waiting for the Kim Possible series to come out. Now that it's here it hoped that more Disney TV series will come out, such as, 'The Buzz on Maggie', 'Fillmore'& 'The Replacements'. However I digress, This is the only season 1 Kim Possible series available and it's a good one.

Story: Kim possible is a teenager cheerleader who saves the world from Bad guys & girls, with her friend Ron Stoppable and his pet mole rat, Rufus. They travel the world with the help of Wade, computer genius.

DVD: This set has no extras. 4:3 aspect or 1.33:1. Dolby Digital 2.0 stereo. 21 episodes at 22mins each.

Overview: This is a good series for those who like action, but not over the top. No course language and great humour. Not to mention well drawn.

P.S. Season 2 available as well(just as good) waiting for seasons 3 & 4
