5.0 out of 5 stars Makes me feel very old & uncool...
The music on this CD is spunky, catchy, and unoffensive. My daughter is at an in-between stage as far as music goes - too old for Barney and the Wiggles, but too young for Britney and Avril. This CD proved to be the perfect middle ground.

Both my 6 year old daughter & I know all the lyrics to all the songs by now, so I often sing along with a minivan full...

4.0 out of 5 stars You may be hearing these songs in your head all day long..., June 29, 2004
By A Customer
This review is from: Kim Possible: Songs from and Inspired by the Hit TV Series (Audio CD)
I have a 5-year-old daughter who is in love with KP. For me, KP sure beats a "Disney Princess" as a role model. Despite the fact that my kid was raised on decidedly "non-Pop" tunes, she loves this CD and plays it whenever she can. The songs are mostly about friendship and helping, so that's good. There are a few about boys and love, which is OK I guess, but I'm sure she could care less about them at this age. Anyway, the songs are somewhat infectious and you may be hearing them in your head while you are at work, despite yourself.

I was kinda doubtful about buying this for my girls, but I gave in, and after listening a few times I have to give it a decent rating. I'm not familiar with the artists featured, but there's nothing objectional on the CD, and the music is fun and danceable.

I'm a teacher and I let my students listen to this CD on Fridays. They absolutely love it! They really like "Call Me Beep Me," "Celebration," and "The Naked Mole Rap." "The Naked Mole Rap" has become their favorite! They even think the class hamster looks like a naked mole rat!

4.0 out of 5 stars The Kim Possible Soundtrack offers more than just fan servic, July 23, 2003

This review is from: Kim Possible: Songs from and Inspired by the Hit TV Series (Audio CD)
Song Selection: 8
Song Quality: 8
Overall Rating: 80%

INTRODUCTION
The Kim Possible series focuses on the life of Kim Possible, a young girl who fights crime as a secret agent. She is aided in this endeavor by her sidekick, Ron Stoppable, and the resident genius, Wade. Kim Possible is able to foil the plans of numerous villains and still do her homework and participate in cheerleading. The hit series, which airs weekly on both ABC Kids and The Disney Channel, now has a soundtrack that includes numerous songs from the show.

SONG SELECTION
In general, the soundtrack includes mainly pop songs. They are performed by a variety of artists ranging from Aaron Carter to Smash Mouth. They include two versions of Kim Possible theme song, "Call Me, Beep Me!", as well as eleven other songs. Each song is able to focus on a different aspect of the series and work well to give the show a cohesive feel. Furthermore, with the exception of the first and last tracks, all the songs are unique. In fact, even the two versions of the theme song are different. While both versions are sung by Christina Milian, the second version is a remix by Tony Phillips. This remix adds sound effects and sound bites from the show in order to give the song an entirely new feel.

SONG QUALITY
The song quality of the Kim Possible Soundtrack is very good. Most of the songs were very catchy and appealing. Even a few of the songs I wasn't so fond of grew on me with repeated listening. Even so, there were a few songs that I was not entirely thrilled with. "This Year", which was performed by the A*TEENS, was a bit too high pitched for my taste. Despite the fact that the entire group range in age from only 19-20 years old, they sound as though they are only 12 or 13. Another song I was not impressed by was "Work It Out" by Brassy. While the song has a good beat and excellent instrumental performances, the lyrics were less satisfying. While these songs were the worst of the bunch, most of the songs were very good. I particularly liked the remix of "Call Me, Beep Me!", "Celebration" a remake by the group Jump 5, "Come On, Come On" from Smash Mouth's Astrolounge album, and especially "The Naked Mole Rap". Jump 5's remake was exceptionally well done and true to the original. "Come On, Come On" adds a slightly different style to the album's overall pop feel. Finally the highlight of the album was actually "The Naked Mole Rap", which was performed by Ron Stoppable and Rufus, two characters from the series. This song was extremely hilarious and fun to listen to.

OVERALL
Fans of the Kim Possible series are likely to be thrilled with what the soundtrack has to offer. Even those who have never seen the TV show, but who want something catchy and energetic to listen to are likely to be pleasantly surprised. I highly recommend purchasing this soundtrack.

A Kid's Review
This review is from: Kim Possible: Songs from and Inspired by the Hit TV Series (Audio CD)
The cd is good, all the songs are, I'm not saying it's bad. I love all of them, especially Call Me, Beep Me. But I really think Christie Carlson Romano should have a CD of her own: she has that awesome singing voice.

Kim Possible, Ron Stoppable...but the real star is Rufus, the naked mole rat. The CD is very good. My 5 1/2 year old loves it and I can listen to it without wanting to pull out what little hair I have left.
