These are the original Kimba shows that are so fondly remembered by us fans all over the world. If you aren't familiar with this show... Parents, this show has a lot of heart and soul. Your kids will find that, for sure. Behind each story is a love and respect for every living creature, and the driving theme behind the entire series is the dream of all people and all animals being able to live together in peace and harmony. Anime fans, this was the pet project of Osamu Tezuka, the man who invented manga. Need I say more? It ran in syndication for 12 years, and was still in prime kid time when the rights to show it ran out. And for those who ARE familiar with Kimba, rest assured that these are NOT "the New Adventures" and NOT "the Lion Prince", but the real original shows that were shown on TV stations all over the US from 1966 to 1978. The best existing films were assembled for this video series, and it's like taking a wonderful trip back in time--only this time we can see it any time we want. |
