So, although these gloves are marketed to those in the medical field, I purchased them for general mechanic work.

I must say, I am nothing but impressed with them so far. The textured fingertips and the thickness of the gloves make them durable and easy to use. The quality of these is much higher than the blue nitrile gloves I was buying from the local 'Made in China' tool chain store. My previous brand was thin, and would constantly rip as I did my work - but today I made it through a whole day on the same pair of gloves. Definitely a step up - I'll be keeping these stocked on my shelf.

I'm allergic to both latex and the powder often put in gloves to make them go on easily.

I use these purple nitrile gloves for all sorts of things - to apply meds to my pets, to protect my hands from irritants, just to stay clean. I specifically get my gloves online since Walmart's only carries the medium size which fits well EXCEPT they are very hard to get on when your hands are wet. I much prefer the large for that reason. However, if you want to be able to pick up a dime, get a size that fits snugly.

One caution. If you decide to use these gloves to apply Bengay, they will work sort of. They will split. Apparently the Bengay is unique in its reaction with the nitrile. I have never had any other substance cause the gloves to weaken. I do use them to apply Bengay, but quickly and carefully.

These are an excellent product and I have had excellent service from the company providing them.

UPDATE: THE GLOVES I HAVE RECENTLY PURCHASED DO NOT WEAKEN WITH THE USE OF BENGAY. THAT MUST HAVE BEEN A BAD BATCH OF GLOVES. I HAVE USED THEM WITH BENGAY WITH NO SPLITTING AT ALL.

If you do a search for this glove, you see the representation of a long-cuffed purple glove that has a longer cuff than the actual product. When you come into the product description area, the picture there fails to correct this misconception because you cannot see in that picture how far the cuff extends.

The product itself doesn't make up for this false advertisement enough to get more than the lowest rating. It's price is a bit high and it's quality is about normal.

These colorful gloves are so cute I hate to throw them out even when soiled with blood 'n' guts. I would be even happier if they came in rainbow stripes. It's sort of a Gay Pride thing. But keep up the good work, Nitrile Glovers!

It is funny to see the guys around the shop sporting bright purple hands! I think that was part of my motivation for purchasing these gloves. But they work great, seem to be durable and have not heard any complaints about them from the guys. We are a machine shop here, so we deal with a lot of coolant and oil. Plus many tiny metal shavings that can puncture these gloves. So far they are holding up.

My husband is a police officer and is constantly having to touch questionable people, substances, filth, etc. He has worn the nitrile gloves in the past and carries them on his person. These are great quality.

I am a packaging mechanic for Kimberly-Clark and have used these gloves on occasion but have used the blue nitrile gloves for several years because that is what is availible to us. The purple hold up a little better but both do well.I use them around the house if using chemicals and working on my car or truck.If KC makes a product I don't like I don't buy it and the one size fits all that is available in some stores may be the same material but do not feel as thick as the ones I use at KC or the ones I have ordered and will not last as long.My hands are large and the one size fits all makes them very hard to get on without a rip.

Good product good price..Gloves don't bust apart when being used. They are large enough for men with big hands. Don't have the white powder to contaminate your engine parts if being used on auto repairs.

I use the Kimberly-clark nitrile gloves for literally everything. they are thin enough that you don't feel like you are wearing mittens but thick enough and strong enough not to tear easily. Plus being purple, it makes them easy to find. I use them for just about everything, from working with food when I have to get messy (like cutting chicken or mixing a meatloaf) to cleaning the bathroom to working on my truck they keep you clean and sanitary without easily tearing our falling apart. they are a little mroe money, yes, but you get what you pay for. I wouldn't use or get anything else.

For those who have latex issues, these gloves are the answer. Latex sensitive people will not have any problem with these gloves. Well made and durable. Highly Recommend!
