I picked up a Panasonic Lumix LX-3 right before a vacation, and unsure of the kind of battery life I'd get, I wanted to buy some extra batteries. I could have gone with some $3 ones, but I decided on this brand due to it specifying the mah (higher than the original batteries) and seeming to still be a good deal. I used them many times over the week with no problems, and they performed as well if not better than the original battery.

I alternate this with the original battery
and I do not see any difference.

I bought this item as a backup battery for the Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX5 that I had recently purchased. Unfortunately, this battery is not compatible with LX5.

This battery fits neither in the LX5 camera slot nor in the battery charger. This battery has 3 connector strips whereas the LX5 original battery has 4 narrower connector strips.

This is more of an FYI than a review since I haven't had any chance to try out this battery. Amazon service is great and they gladly accepted the return.

I purchased this battery to replace the original that came with our Lumix camera. The original battery lasted for years...this one lasted for 3 whole charges. Yep! That's it. I thought I was saving money, buying a more affordable battery, but instead it ended up being a waste.

This battery died after a couple charge cycles. The charger that came with my Panasonic DMC-FX9 doesn't recognize the battery anymore - the green light indicator that normally comes on when you insert a battery doesn't light up. When I insert one of my Lenmar batteries into the charger, the light immediately turns on. I can't charge the Kinamax battery anymore - I've owned it about 9 weeks.

Used it for a few weeks, seems to last a bit longer than the original battery that came with the camera. Note, the original says it's 1090mAh (min), the one in Amazon's picture says 1500mAh, the one I received has 1700mAh written on it. Not sure exactly how to interpret that, but the empirical evidence, at least thus far, and the much cheaper price, seems to suggest this is a good buy.

This battery runs down without use in just a few days. By contrast, the original Panasonic battery holds a decent charge for well over a month.

Unfortunately, it took a while to sort out what was going on with this battery. By the time I did, the 1 month window for a full refund from Amazon had expired.

This battery is not nearly as long-lived as the original Panasonic battery that came with my camera. The battery is made in China, just as Panasonic batteries are. Maybe this company really is from Japan, but instead I think some clever Chinese merchant has just figured out a way to beat all the other cut-rate battery manufacturers from China by exploiting our Nipponphile tendencies.

It has not lasted as long as the OEM battery for me--on average, I get about 75% of the shots I do with the Lumix-branded battery. But the price is well under half of the OEM, so if you do that math, this one comes out on top. For that reason it could get five stars, if the description didn't imply it would perform better than the OEM. For shame.

Performs identically to the Panasonic battery supplied with new camera. I wanted at least one spare backup battery and heeding the advise of others in the LX3 forums I opted purchasing this much cheaper (than Panasonic) product which i'm perfectly happy with.
