5.0 out of 5 stars Space horror at its finest, June 9, 2010

I absolutely loved this book. From beginning to end it was an action packed read and I couldn't put it down. The cover art is excellent and the premise of the book really draws you in. If you're in science fiction or horror novels you'll enjoy this one. Don't miss out!

The only thing I didn't like about this book is that it was short, but it's not overpriced and Eric S. Brown and Jessy Marie Roberts did a wonderful job crafting it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Space opera that will bring on myrmecophobia, July 5, 2011

I loved "Kinberra Down." It was rip roaring great fun. It reminded me of the movie Starship Troopers only in book form.

I thought the characters were well developed, even though a little stereotypical. I especially liked Stephens and Hewitt, main protaganists in the story. I thought both alien species were done well. I especially liked Xar, the Darian. I would like to see more stories with Darians. In fact, I would have really liked this to be a full length book.

But that written, if it had been a book rather than the story it is, I wouldn't have liked the ending. And the ending worked well for this format.

5.0 out of 5 stars Action packed Scifi-Horror Fest, July 3, 2011
This review is from: Kinberra Down (Paperback)
Kinberra Down in a non-stop, action filled romp through the furthest reaches of space. Brown and Roberts waste no time getting to the heart of the matter as the action begins on page one and doesn't let up until the final paragraph. There were a few editing errors and typos here and there but the breakneck action of the plot was strong enough to overpower them with the same intensity as the books insectoid antagonists. Without giving anything away, I will say that I particularly enjoyed the end of Kinberra Down. There are different paths this book could have taken to reach its conclusion and I commend the authors for exploring the road less taken.
