Product Description
Preschool Cannonball Monkey

Sometimes a monkey loves fruit so much, he'll do anything to get some more. Too high up? Too far away? Not for this mischievous monkey!

In Preschool Cannonball Monkey, a quirky and fun Android game for young children, a fruit-fixated monkey has gotten really creative in his pursuit of the perfect meal. He's devised a cannon to propel him into the air, where he can pick all the fruit as quickly as possible.

Preschool Cannonball Monkey
Send the hungry monkey flying for delicious fruits
Monkey Business

Your job is to aim the cannon carefully and then send the monkey flying! As he whooshes through the air, he'll blast through rows and columns of delectable fruits, grabbing as many tasty treats as he can.

Eat your way through more than 30 levels of charming gameplay in this toddler-friendly game. You can pause the game at any time by double-tapping the screen.

Help the monkey fill his hungry tummy with delicious fruits. Ready, aim, and have fun!

Please note: This application is not compatible with the LG Optimus.

This is a very simple game geared toward children of preschool age. Of course, a person of any age could easily find this game enjoyable. As long as it's not expected for the game to unlock 10 super, duper new levels with beautiful HD backgrounds of the Amazon Jungle. And, just so long as it's understood that playing for hours, one still cannot receive a single 1+up Monkey Life or, even the elusive Golden Banana that's rumored to instantly make your monkey grow the rest of his body when eaten.

Sounds pretty silly, huh? Well, Monkeys ARE indeed, delightfully SILLY & PLAYFUL animals! Always climbing up, down & all over everything! Sometimes, even getting themselves into a little mischief. Actually, come to think.of it... Monkeys remind me of CHILDREN! Personally, I think the Monkey is the perfect animal to represent this Preschool Aged Children's Game! Just saying. =D

But, these monkeys are not the ones getting into mischeif. Seems as though the developers of this app have been doing a "Monkey Business" behind the scenes! Although, I'll must give them credit for not having the dreaded excessive Permissions that we've been seeing in far too many apps lately, everything is not coming up roses here.

What I'd like to know is: WHY would this cute little Monkey app need to REMAIN RUNNING in the BACKGROUND AFTER I've EXITED the game?? As far as I can tell, it doesn't. Shame on you! I shouldn't need to access my Applications Folder to Force Close your app everytime I exit the game! What's the deal dev? I was ready to share this with my nephew after I gave your app a 4 or 5 star rating. But, I don't "Monkey Around " when it comes to this sort of thing. So, sadly, this monkey is grounded & won't be able to come out to play until this issue is resolved.

2.0 out of 5 stars very simple app March 27, 2012

for 99 cents "Where's My Water?" is a much better value and more educational than this app for my preschooler.

3.0 out of 5 stars It's a cute game. And it's definitely NOT racist. March 27, 2012

I think this is a really cute game for small children. It's a fun way to teach a child problem solving and geometry (I think. Geometry class for me was 32 years ago). And as for a previous review, I have no clue how one could call this racist.
Oh, and for the record, I don't have any small children so I have no idea just how engaging this would be to a youngster of today. I just personally think it's cute and know my daughter would have liked it when she was of pre-school age (19 years ago).

1.0 out of 5 stars Not for my preschool monkey March 27, 2012

I first tried it myself to saw how it worked. There is basic functionality where a "D-Pad" like feature lets you control the angle of the cannon before firing a shot. You have to double-tap the screen to pause or change levels.

I showed my 3 y/o a quick round before passing it off to him. he understood the motions, but got frustrated because it took him awhile to get a hit. Needless to say, he he handed the phone back to me. This is a boy that builds Tan gram puzzles and enjoys games like "Where's My Water" and "Angry Birds", passing levels on his own.

I think if the controls were a bit more intuitive for a preschooler and didn't require trial and error of geometry, it could make for a preschool time waster.

5.0 out of 5 stars Kids version of Blast Monkeys March 27, 2012
This app appears to be the children's version, of the adult version, Blast Monkeys found free here: Blast Monkeys

I have been playing the adult version for over a month and its a great way to burn a quick 5 min per challenge. Each challenge gets progressively harder, but not so hard you can't eventually master the objective, until you get to expert, then all bets are off.

I'm a big fan of the short mind teasers like this as they are ideal for on-the-go smartphone use. There's only so many times one can play AB Angry Birds Space Free

4 stars for fun + 1 star anti-racist comment bump...

imho, if completing any of the challenges brings a smile to a small kids face, then .99 cents is a small price indeed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great app for the little ones!! April 11, 2013

This is a wonderful app that will supply your little one with endless fun. My 2yr old niece loves to shoot the monkeys so they can eat the fruit. It seems simple - but it gets sort of difficult as they progress through the levels - building hand-eye coordination and problem solving. Also included are some fruit puzzles - yes, they are only 4 piece puzzles - but for a 2yr old it is great fun! :)

1.0 out of 5 stars No way a preschooler can use this. December 15, 2012

The name is misleading! Way too many buttons and fine corrections for someone in pre-k to use this product. But the Icon really draws the eye of children to want to play.
