I read very few non-fiction books, but Susan Case's manuel for both kindergarten parents and teachers is a must have! I wish this wealth of information had been available to me when my children started school; it would especially have been helpful for their first grade experiences.

KINDERGARTEN: TATTLE-TALES..., is well organized, informative and easy-to-read. Put this one on your must-read list. Not only is the book chock full of wonderful information about dealing with small children, but there's a chapter listing wonderful recipes, including sugar cookies, play-doh, and something called goo. (This would be wonderful for a rainy afternoon and restless, bored children.)

As a mother of three and grandmother of three, I highly recommend.
