Kinderglo Portable Fun and Safe Rechargeable Night Light, Tyrannosaurus

Rawrrydot, as the Tyrannosaurus KinderGlo is called in our house, is doing his job to get me more sleep at night. Our three-year-old son will absolutely not go to sleep without his "Glow Up Dinosaur" (as he calls it). And the KinderGlo helps our little one get back to sleep at night without much help. Last night was a perfect example. Although a middle-of-the-night wake-up usually leads to a drawn-out process-of-elimination game (Is he thirsty? Is he hungry? Does he have growing pains? Is he cold?), last night our son simply said: "I want to turn on Rawrrydot and then I will go to sleep." He turned on the KinderGlo, put his head back on his pillow and went back to sleep. Lovely!

I sent this T-Rex as a gift. Here is what the boy's mother wrote me-
"...we love the tyrannosaurus light! it is anthony's favorite bedtime buddy, he never forgets to get him from the charger and take him to bed with his book choice for the night"
You have to love a gift that the child keeps playing with.

This was a replacement nightlight that died after 4 1/2 years of use. Terrific design, soft design & ease of use make this the perfect nightlight. My son (4 1/2) LOVES the "sharp-tooth dinosaur" and the changing colors. He has even perfected selecting the color he likes for each night. Highly recommend this product to any one with a child!

We do have the twilight turtle, 2 in fact. But they didn't light the room up enough for our child who is experiencing some fear of the dark. So we bought a mobi. The mobi quit working after several months. So we bought the KinderGlo Tyrannosaurus. The first night my child slept with it. It's great. The blue is a little bright but not so bright it hurts your eyes. The color changing setting is really cool, but it will not last all the way through the night like a solid color does. Overall it's a great nightlight. Fun looking, safe and it does it's job well.

This is a great product.... My son loved it until it died. The base did not seem to charge the little Dino properly. We had it for 6 months before it died and the warranty was for 90 days only. I am ordering another one in hopes it lasts longer because it really is a great light.

Subsequent Notes > Before I ordered another one, I contacted the maker of the product (Blue Moon Lites) and explained my problem. They gave me some trouble shooting tips (there is a pin sized hole on the bottom of the light that is a reset button - I used a paperclip to access it. Resetting the Dino for me did not work). After that failed, they asked for the model number and my amazon purchase order. The person then sent me a new Dino light and asked me to return the faulty one. The representative was so helpful and showed that there are still companies out there that are willing to stand behind their products.

Also - that same representative suggested that, in the future, I let the Dino fully discharge about every other week. That will help preserve the battery.

All and all - great light made by a great company. I have just purchase a little teddy bear light for the daughter we are expecting in about a month :) So now our house has three of these lights (a Dino, a Elephant, and a Teddy Bear). All cute and child friendly.

Our 3 yr old would plug and unplug traditional nightlight or take out batteries, which is unsafe and robbing him of a good night's sleep.
Then we saw, the portable, rechargeable,no plugs, no batteries, Tyrannosaurus night light! It's got great changing colors (soft red, blue and green. Our little guy can take him into bed (just the right size to cuddle), or leave the nightlight on his dresser. In the morning he brings Tyrannosaurus down and recharges him. We've had no problems with the charging station being too delicate and the light keep a charge for a really long time. As a bonus, it's easy to pack for overnights at Grandma's.

The best portable nightlight and simply T-riffic!

Great product!!! My children adore them, they sleep with them every night, and the battery lasts a very long time without having to charge it that often:) Perfect portable size for playing and cuddling! I'm a VERY satisfied customer! Emits just enough light to help sooth your child to sleep and I love the auto shut off after 30 minutes, with the option for all night light...Cutest night light ever!

We struggled with my daughter being afraid of the dark but some lights being too bright. Lights that plugged into outlets were too appealing to her little brother and weren't ideally positioned.

I researched several rechargeable nightlights before deciding on the KinderGlo. I like the rechargeable light, available modes, and how easy it is for a three year old to operate. It can spin on the charger and still be charging. The button to change modes is easy enough for a preschooler to change but not easily bumped.

My daughter chose the T. Rex because "he has big teeth" to scare the monsters. She felt confident he'd be friendly to her and protect her from the things that scare her. Whatever the reasoning, it seems to work! Rarely does she wake up during the night scared. She grabs her dinosaur and turns it on and goes back to sleep. Well worth the investment!

What a fun way to light a room! We purchased this light for our 9 month old son and it is such a better alternative to leaving a bright high-wattage light on. The first one we received did have a small problem but after contacting the company they sent another immediately and followed up to ensure we were satisfied. It seems as though customer service doesn't seem to exist in today's world anymore...except at KinderGlo. The shapes are fun, the changing colors are cool, and the ad is right, the light doesn't get warm at all to the touch so there's no worry when our son gets old enough to move and grab it off the nightstand.

We bought this for my 3 year old son for Christmas. He absolutely loved it! Unfortunately, a week into using it, the red light stopped working. It would just go dim when it was going through the color cycle and was supposed to go to red. The rest of the colors worked. I emailed Kinderglo directly. They were outstanding. They shipped me a brand new one without hesitation. I really appreciate a company that stands behind their products.
