After recently purchasing a KIndle Fire HD I was a little unsure as to how to make the best use of it. So I looked on Amazon for something to help out my technophobe brain and decided to buy this guidebook based on the reviews. I'm glad that I did!

It is absolutely packed with detailed and informative information that will get even the most techno challenged novices up and running with their Fire in no time at all. The Table of Contents runs to 6 pages on its own! Starting with an introduction and the more basic stuff like charging your Kindle, powering up and down and registering with Amazon, the book swiftly moves on to the more difficult stuff (well, for people like me anyway!) like connecting your social media accounts, adding email accounts and the different types of browser you can use.

There's loads more stuff, I haven't got the time to list.

I now find this book indispensable. Every time I want to know how to do something on my Fire, I just refer to this book.

Highly recommended to all Fire owners.

Having considered other guides for the Fire HD, I decided that this would cover all the content I required. Although I knew most of it, having owned my Kindle for a couple of weeks and being tech literate, there were some very useful tips and techniques to enhance my user experience. A fast and easy read, it represents good value for an average user and exceptional for the novice. Even the pro can gain something from this Guide.

Really glad I got this....worth the read just for instructions to access camera for free which you cannot access without buying an app if you didn't research. Some great tips. This is my first tablet (kindle) and this book has helped me to enjoy it more. I was not happy with the fact that the camera was only on one side and I couldn't access it at first (advertised as having camera--deceiving when compared to other devices). Book gives you some good free apps to get started.

I have had my kindle fire had for about 2 weeks and I could not find the camera! The salesman at the store brought it up on the display model, but I never could. This book gave clear, easy to follow instructions and tips on how to get the most from your kindle fire hd. My favorite thing the author taught me was how to take a screen shot! I had ask the sales person if this model did this & he said no "that's an Iphone thing". I'm thrilled he was wrong & this book showed me how. I do extreme couponing & this will allow me "to prove the price" I'm ad marching. Something I can not do on my smart phone as it does not have a front facing camera. I would highly recommend this book to every person who is a 1st time kindle fire hd owner! This has so much "how to info"!

Short but helpful. Nice to know they don't tell you to charge before using your new kindle. Must read for new users

At first glance this book seemed too simple for me with 20 plus years in tech. Then it hit me..I could have been getting things done a lot easier if I had this book from before. Don't let the style of writing fool you this book has a ton of good info in it and for me the help on getting Flash to work was worth more to me than what I paid for the book. Only error I found is that the link to the Dolphin Browser HD in the Flash section was incorrect but the first link worked fine. Great book, well worth the price!

This is by far the best information guide I have used since getting my Kindle Fire HD. It has already paid for itself by just solving a couple issues I had.

It's says in this book on how to get adobe flash on your kindle fire. Kindle fire doesn't support adobe flash. So this book is wrong.
