In publishing my own e-book, I purchased several books on how to format, upload and market my book for Kindle. Much of the information can be found in other books, with the exception of how this author recommends to get links to your e-book. It is recommended to go to particular sites and purchase backlinks. Last I was aware of, google figured these things out and slapped you for it. I did not try this advice and would be curious to hear if others did.

I am readying my third book to publish on Kindle and have been devouring marketing, formatting and anything Kindle publishing. When I first started the book I assumed it was pretty much a clone of the other books I've read on the subject. But then when I got to the keyword section, I stopped reading to start doing keyword research as RL Adams described. I think that pretty much says how involved I became in this book. I finished it, and am now reviewing several sections. While it has the basics of the top books I've read, this goes over the moon in describing topics that were new to me. Pinging, backlinking, Listomania, etc. This is the most useful of all the Kindle books I've read. As a bonus, it is extremely well written. Because I am assuming that such a literate writer knows what he's talking about, I have trust that this book will help me with my burgeoning Kindle "empire." Seriously, this is a solid, important reference. If you want to sell books on Kindle, buy this book.

Buy this book. Study it. Transform your approach to publishing on Amazon.

This insightful guide reveals how to position and market e-books using the internal resources and mechanisms of Amazon and Google. Blogging, tweeting, facebooking, etc. are not central to the strategies, though their usefulness is not denied.

As an author making the shift from traditional publishing to "indie," I've read at least two dozen how-to guides on e-book publishing. This book is far and away the best of the lot. Two months ago, I launched an e-book (White Light Meditation / How to Meditate ~ in Ten Steps ~) using just a few of the tactics suggested by Adams. Based on my experience, I can testify that he's successfully deconstructed the nuts 'n' bolts of the Amazon ranking process and laid out all the pieces in an easy-to-understand fashion. Along the way, he provides a bottom-up approach to building a presence for your book on Amazon--and the internet world beyond. The process he provides is clear, straight-forward and logical. The end result is a manual that takes you step-by-step through the entire marketing strategy.

If I have a quibble it is about word usage. He consistently writes "then" when "than" is required--however, this irritation is a minor annoyance compared to the tactical gems he dishes up page after page.

Well done!

These books are all worthless. Literally can find the same information online for free. Even less expensive books with worse reviews have the exact same content (or better content) than this POS.

Sorry...its the truth
Does not even deserve 1 star

Not sure about "Ninja". Kinda saw this one coming. Lot of redundancy with what is on the web. It is nice that it is all together without the searching though.

The several other books I've read about marketing e-books have been generally helpful by providing a useful overview. However, this one, Kindle Marketing Ninja Guide, became my #1 choice long before I came to the end of the book. In fact, I stopped reading it for about a week because I was busy implementing things it had taught me about creating backlinks and other previously mysterious (to me) means of increasing Internet hits for my book. This book stands apart.

As a Kindle publisher, I constantly seek out information on all aspects of the business. The Kindle Marketing Ninja Guide is a solid compilation of techniques for improving your book's likelihood of sales. Suitable for both new and experienced Kindle publishers, this book covers on-page and off-page SEO methods, info on buyer psychology and color, and also contains a handy HTML reference guide

The information in this book demands focus and action to actually reap the hoped-for results; so don't expect to just read the book and then move on to the next. Plan on applying what you learn and you'll have a lasting set of skills that will benefit each new book you publish.
