I love the form factor. I also love the touch interface. The button placement (home button and power button) is also perfect. However, sometimes when I try to access the kindle store right after switching on WiFi, it freezes. At this time I have to hold down the buttons to do a hard reboot (happened twice since I got it a month a ago). Otherwise, it has been a great companion.

The Kindle Touch 3G is very good, however the User Interface and Navigation needs a lot of work. When you look at the navigation UI on the Kobo eReader Touch and the NOOK Simple Touch, they are much nicer to navigate and user friendly. The graphics are also better. I probably should have gone with the nook or kobo, I just didn't do my homework before the purchase.
I still like my Kindle touch. I am just praying that there is a UI software update from Amazon soon. This will put the Kindle Touch at the TOP!!!
Cheers!

Frankly I was a little disappointed. The product works fine but has shortcomings. For example, I had previously downloaded a book to a laptop and then read the same book on the new Kindle Touch. The laptop version was more aesthetically pleasing to use and had more options than the native Kindle version, one being the lack of a table of contents on the Kindle while one was provided on the laptop version. This situation may have been unique to the specific book. The small screen is a bit of a turnoff, although most e-readers share this feature. Also, maneuvering through the control functions isn't as intuitive as I had hoped it would be. Perhaps I expected too much and will be happier with more advanced e-readers. As I become more used to the unit it still may serve a valid purpose.

i love this kindle touch - i think i haven't turned it on maybe 3 days in the last 30 days! it has reinspired to read again...only criticism i have is i wish it showed the percent of the book read in the menu screen (you actually have to open up the book to see that)...love it

I received my Kindle touch fast and in perfect condition. I would do business with this company again. Now all I have to do is get the Kindle out of my wife's hands so I can read or buy her one of her own......

I have the button Kindle. I bought the touch for my wife. The jury is still out on the Touch. The first one was defective and had to be replaced so we will see about this one. I still prefer the buttons but am open minded.

I decided on the Kindle touch and love it. If you have internet, this is all you need. I have wireless and I just turn the wireless connection on and have immediate access to Amazon or can order books on line and they download to my kindle in seconds. I have the Women's Devotional Bible loaded and it is so easy to bounce around to the suggested readings and then go back to the daily message. Having so many reference books right at my fingertips is awesome. I have poor eyesight and being able to have the font larger is amazing. I take it with me everywhere and it it so nice to have so many things to read at my fingertips. I could not be happier with my choice. There are a lot of free downloads on Amazon and you can download a sample which is nice to see if that is what you would want. I have also gotten a lot of e books from the library. Just a really fun purchase that I wish I would have made a long time ago.

black button menu does not get you to the "go to...", you have to go to the horizontal top bar menu to get that.
took me awhile to learn the right pressure for touch screen sensitivity. occasionally a stuttering tap will flip
several pages.

Purhased this item at Amazon. Selected this item rather that the Kindle Fire because I found it easier to read under all circumstances. The back lit display of the Kindle Fire was hard on my eyes. The Kindle touch does everything I require for a reader. Makes a wonderful research assistant. No longer have to carry many bulky books with me. Everything I need is on the Kindle touch. Love the ability to be able to download notes from Microsoft Word directly to my Kindle. I reviewed all the Kindles before buying and found the Touch to be the best for me.
