More Than A Few Kind Words For TKK,
By Mr. Goodhelp (Central Coast, California) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Kindness Kind (Audio CD)
Honestly did not know of this band before this morning when everything changed. They were the guest on the MartyRiemer.com podcast program and blew me away when they performed their first song. "Labor Day" was a joy to watch and hear as Alessandra sang her story and charged the room with a quiet, yet vibrant morning energy.
Her vocals might be described as haunting, light and sweet at Edie Brickell, Bjork and Harriet Wheeler of The Sundays. The music the band writes is tight and rock-based, without an emphasis on guitar. Rhythm and some keyboards and bass carry the day in fine style. This is progressive adult pop rock and a joy to listen to. I'd recommend hearing what they've got for you at their own web site: thekindnesskind.com. Play the full songs. Enjoy smart, distinctive music for our times. --Mr. G
