After cancer surgery, I've developed lymphedema. One of the cluster of therapies which has helped the discomfort and maintained a better balance in swelling has been kinesiotaping. There is a noticeable difference, although at first it doesn't feel much different. It seems to help with the overall flow of lymphatic fluid. A certified lymphedema therapist can be of assistance in understanding how to use it on oneself.

This is the one your therapist told you to get. I used on my forearm for a tennis elbow ailement and got a 50% strength improvement before pain. You will need application instruction from a therapist or book to effectively use product. Buy in bulk and save. This supplier delivered quickly at a reasonable price

I first was introduced to Kinesio Tape during some hand physical therapy for a repetitive stress disorder on my thumbs from tons of typing. I rely on it now whenever I have to spend more than 4 hours straight typing. Although the Kinesio tape booklet on taping is helpful, I would highly recommend going to someone experienced in using it to find the best way possible to utilize the product before taping your joints yourself. Nothing has worked so well - not even a cortisone injection - to relieve the pain (and sometimes spasms, in my case).
