I searched everywhere for welded handles and yet didn't want to sacrifice quality. This little cookware set has it all (encapsulated aluminum bottoms, 18/10, glass lids)! And for the price, you can't beat it! We just came from a home show and this cookware had everything the expensive sets do! I've used it to cook with and it's great. (I didn't realize though, that you should treat your ss cookware gently and try to keep the scratches down, and then it cleans up almost as easy as teflon.)

UPDATE: This is now Feb 2011 and am still using this cookware set! It's a champ. This was a GREAT buy for us!

As a nutritionist I was looking for a resonably priced, every day set of pans. I was looking for stainless steel as there are many questions over the safety of aluminum and Teflon coating. Stainless steel is the least reactive metal in cookware.

I did my research and decided that this set would be a good choice. It certainly is. The pans clean up nicely after use. I like the glass lids. They fit well. I was also very pleased by the free shipping offered by Amazon. I am extremely satisfied.

TO PROLONG THE LIFE OF YOUR PANS:
Do not use metal implements or scourers in your stainless pans. They will scratch the surface and this is when metals, etc get into your food. Use bamboo, wood, silicon, etc. OXO make a very good silicon covered potato masher which does not scratch.

I was looking for non-teflon pans and these pans are do the job. The handles get hot, but that is to be expected. They are dishwasher safe and eggs are a little hard to cook. Also, don't use a scrub pad, instead use a brush and the powder "Bartender's Best Friend" to clean. I would buy again.

I love this set of pots and pans! They are the perfect weight and size and are very well made. The set is made from 18/10 stainless steel with sandwiched aluminum bottoms for fast, even heating. The heavy-gauge knobs and handles are permanently welded for durability. The set came exactly as described. The food does not stick to the inside of this cookware and the pots and pans clean very easily. I also love the see through lids so you can monitor the heat level while cooking. The handles and knobs do not overheat when cooking. The other brands come with non-stick frying pans. I was looking for a cookware set without non-stick pots or frying pans. I researched all the other brands - farberware, calphalon, cuisinart, etc and this is the best cookware set by far. This would be especially good for some-one just starting out as it has everything you need. I'm very happy with this set!

Stainless Steel is the absolute best for cooking. Heats quick, doesn't stick, easy clean. I checked out prices online and in-stores before choosing to buy through Amazon.com. It had the very best price for the quality.

My friend has a set of Innova Cookware from a few years ago and I used them while cooking at her house. Her set was great. It cooked the food well and cleaned up very nicely. So I decided to buy a set of my own. This set is great with all the pieces and sizes for my cooking needs. However, on the first use of the 10" pan it burned what I was cooking and its been a little tough trying to get that off of the bottom. That must be because I'm use to cooking with non-stick which has a higher heat requirement. So I gave it another shot. It burns food very quickly if you don't watch it and the cover's handles are made of metal so it gets hot. I would not really recommend this set to anyone and if you're planning on buying it I would go with the 11 piece with non-stick coating. And make sure the covers do not have metal handles. Hope this helps.

The time I opened the set, it lighted up my kitchen. However, after the first use, I was ready to return the set. The bottom of the pot showed a set of white spots that I couldn't get rid of. Later I decided it didn't affect its function as a pot and just kept it. The other drawback is the handles and knobs on the covers get hot easily while cooking. I bought it at sale price, so it's still a deal for what I paid for. But I won't buy another set for sure.

The 5.5 quart dutch oven is the perfect size for cooking and storing in the cabinet. The food does not stick to the inside of this cookware and the pots and pans clean easily. This set has the perfect size pans (1 qt, 2 qt and 3 qt) and stacks beautifully in my kitchen cabinet. I also love the see through lids so you can monitor the heat level while cooking. The handles and knobs do not overheat when cooking. The other brands come with non-stick frying pans. I was looking for a cookware set without non-stick pots or frying pans. I got this, used it for 2 weeks and the copper bottoms on the frying pans popped off. Not good.

I'm okay with the pots and lids, but frying is what I love to do. I love eggs, sunny-side up. And now I have no frying pans. :(

I am dissatisfied with my frying pan. The bottom is worn off and we never, never used a metal utinsil in this. it was a 8-10 inch pan. Who do we contact to take care of this. I want another one.
