I have owned both the Fresher Longer (at Sharper Image when they are still around) and OsoFresh containers (from Amazon) for several years and they have been wonderful for me. As far as I can tell it is the same products that has changed name/company over time, but this latest iteration maintain the same high quality as the previous versions and the Nano Silver . As the other reviewer has commented the lips are interchangeable with the old containers and I like how the smallest container is now taller, which make it much more useful. The containers are well-built and use high-quality, very thick plastic wall all-around, which means it will not warp or deformed. It is spill-proof, microwaveable, dishwasher safe and freezer-safe, what more can you ask for?

For those of us who worries about BPA. These containers are BPA-free. I have just purchased my 3rd sets, not because the old containers are worn out, but rather they are working so well that my parents want a set of their own too. I am still using the original Fresher Longer set (yellow color) I bought from the Sharper Image store 5 years ago. The silicone seal and the 4 side tabs works just as well as day one in making the containers spill-proof.

They come in sizes I find convenient, stack nicely, and I like how the lids fit (though it does require a little figuring out at first). They can go in the microwave if you unlock the lids. So far there has been no marring of the insides like I've had with other containers. Not only do I give them a 5 star rating, but I would buy them again AND recommend them to a friend.

June 2011 - Had to update my review and remove a couple of stars. After some use, I am no longer as happy with them as I once was. My original review stated I would buy them again and recommend them. I would no longer buy them again and would no longer recommend them. They're just like all the other containers I've gotten over the years: good when they're brand new but their useful qualities deteriorate.

Problem #1: mold forming inside the silicone seal of the lid. Eww! Gross! I had to pick it out with a butter knife. Makes me wonder what microscopic yucky stuff is inside there infiltrating our food. So much for the antimicrobial attributes.

Problem #2: The lids no longer consistently and interchangeably fit. I've put them in the dishwasher on the top rack on occasion but mostly hand washed them. Sometimes the lids fit fine, other times they don't seem to line up. The lids can't be forced to closed. You have to try a different lid.

Stained by leftover pasta with tomato sauce after less than 24 hours holding the food, just like any other container.

I also find them a little hard to open when they are sealed. That isn't necessarily a product flaw, just my observation.

I have older versions of this product called FresherLonger and OsoFresh. They are yellow, and these are green. Whatever color, they are GREAT!!!!! When I saw these, I was worried that they would be slightly different, and the tops wouldn't interchange. But they work just fine! I'm thrilled. I remember buying Glad containers, and the tops were always just slightly different so they wouldn't fit. These containers do everything they say and more. Food stays fresher MUCH longer. Also, the smallest container has been made a little taller, which makes it much more functional. This has made my day. And there are some new sizes available, which I snapped up as well.

Tight fitting lids, great size selections, highly functional and they don't retain food smell like similar containers.

I ordered this item because of the nanotechnology and I do think that food stays fresh longer when using it. Red grapes were fresh after 2 weeks in the container. I do have a problem with the locking mechanism on them. Some of the lids are impossible to lock and I end up trying several lids to find one that locks on 3 or 4 sides. They require quite a bit of force to lock. I have a set of Lock and Lock containers and do NOT have this problem with them.

The set contains many useful containers, but they're not
stackable! That makes storing them not very convenient.
As containers they're good, keeping things fresh.

We got this because after doing research this was the safest in terms of leaking toxic fumes into you food.

Cons turned a brownish color after the second dishwashing. It doesn't affect the use of the product but it was a little weird. Closing the sides were sometimes challenging. If you don't have it just right it's hard to push down 10% of the time. Storage takes up a lot of space because they are not nestable.

I bought these, along with some glass containers with locking lids, and some Rubbermaid containers with dark red lids, in an attempt to find the best BPA-free containers. These win hands down. They are much easier to use than glass containers, which are heavy, fragile, and get hot in the microwave. They have a more convenient shape than the Rubbermaid. Cleverly, one lid size fits several containers of different sizes, reducing lid-searching time. And food actually does seem to stay fresh longer in them. I love them and plan to order more and retire the glass containers.

We bought these about a month ago because we were looking for a sturdy, water-tight food storage set; they fit that bill perfectly. I haven't been putting them in the dishwasher because I'm afraid of the seal becoming less effective, but I don't think it's a big deal to hand wash them. I haven't noticed that they keep food fresher compared with our other storage products. My biggest complaint is that they only have two footprint sizes, which means they can share lids, but they don't stack for storage.

A friend of mine had these containers and we ate blueberries and strawberries, which, had been stored in separate nano silver containers for over a week. They looked and tasted like they were just picked. I bought the 7 pc. storage set and the largest container(use for storing lettuce)and have been VERY PLEASED with this product. I have turned 2 other friends onto these wonderful containers. I am going to buy a few more for myself and plan on buying some for Christmas gifts. I think these would make an aweseome wedding gift! Suggestion: if you and a friend want to "try" it, split the 7-pc. set, but, you'll buy more. The last pint of blueberries I purchased were a bit sour. I put them in the small container and left them for nearly 3 weeks. Everyday I'd eat a few sweet ones and rinse them off once a week...they lasted THREE weeks and got more ripened with time. I was amazed.
