The King Arthurs Tools Lancelot 5/8-Inch 14-Tooth Arbor turns your grinder into a carving tool with the versatility to cut in any direction while making smooth cuts. It's especially useful for cutting openings in floors and walls, or for notching and grooving projects. You can also use it for freehand shaping of sculpture or carving projects, as well as large wood removal projects. Sharpen the 14 teeth with the included 5/32-inch round file. This arbor fits most 4 and 4 1/2-inch angle grinders.

Lancelot Woodcarving Discs take the muscle work out of woodcarving with their speed, power and maneuverability. The secret is in the special chain saw blade which is securely held between two stainless steel plates. Mount the 4" dia. Lancelot in your 4" or 4-1/2" angle grinder and watch the chips fly! It easily cuts the hardest woods regardless of grain or knots. The 14-tooth model is great for "roughing out" the 22-tooth model and leaves a smoother "finished" surface. Teeth can be re-sharpened using a standard chain saw file. Maximum 14,000 RPM. Chains cannot be interchanged between models. Squire Mini Woodcarving Discs can be attached to another disc for the ultimate in power carving! It can be used alone as a small carving disc by attaching the 3-3/8" dia. Squire to a Lancelot Disc with the Universal Mounting Nut. You can effectively double your cutting capacity. You not only remove waste material faster but curved work, like the inside of bowls, is easier and smoother than when using a single disc. Fits all mini grinders with 5/8" x 11 TPI arbors.

The quality of the carving that can be done with this tool is directly related to the quality of right angle grinder you purchase, and your proficiency with that grinder. I am building a log home and this tool is indispensible for log pockets, saddle notches, and tennons. I've had good luck with wildlife carvings in softwoods such as pine, hemlock, and cedar.

This tool is a must have for anyone building a log home. Our builder had one and he used it in putting our house up. Now that we are finishing it, we have found it invaluable to:
-carve out grooves for the window/door bucks
-carve out grooves for wiring
-carve out large areas of the logs for light switches. I really don't know how we would do this without the king arthur. It would easily take 3x as long with a chisel.

This tool has allowed us to tackle many of the unusual challenges that come up with a log home. With each project, the king arthur has shown itself to be invaluable. Don't know how we would build this house without one.

Our electrician had to get one once he saw ours!

I have used this tool to cut down wood blocks for carving. It quickly removes material and brings the wood closer to the final carving stage. Use caution as wood is removed QUICKLY.
