once you get used to the controls of the game killing and maiming the bad guys is easier. plus, after each episode, you get to cash in your XPs for much needed upgrades so that your enemies will have a tougher time dusting you off.
i will admit, this game is time consuming and rather repetitive. there are a few instances where you are given an objective to complete before you win or lose the scenario. it took me nearly three or more times with a few of them. ultimately, the best advice i can give anyone about this game is to manipulate the combos so that you can get the most XPs, which in turn, means that the more you have at the end of one battle, the more upgrades you can make to your characters. good luck!

I was looking forward to renting either Metroid Prime 2: Echoes or Star Fox: Assault at my local Blockbuster, but it had neither, so I settled for this game, King Arthur. I felt OK with the decision. I had seen it on some sites and it looked good. I also like knights and chivalry, so that made me want to get it even more, but once I placed it in my GameCube, and started playing it, I was very dissapointed.
This game is just boring. All you're really doing is killing some infidels while trying to keep the Bishop (I think that's who it is) safe. The fighting is rather weak. I mostly press the A button the whole time in the first part because the stronger attacks take much longer to execute. They are very successful at killing, but you have to push them exactly at the right time, or you'll be attacked and thus hindered from doing any damage, or you'll attack too soon, and then get attacked yourself. It's great that you can fight on horseback, but maneuvering was freakin' confusing. Everytime I wanted to turn, say 180 degrees, I'd push in a certain direction on the control stick, and when I'm half way there, I'd push the contol stick in the opposite direction just to complete the turn. I don't know whether it's the camera angles or what, but contolling the horse was rather difficult at times. The graphics are nice, and so are the clips, but the gameplay and storyline suck pretty badly. Don't buy, not even rent, this game! If you want to play it, go to a friend who has it. Do not spend money on this game yourself. You'll regret it.
