This review is from: King Biscuit Flower Hour Presents in Concert (Audio CD)
Elvin Bishop was really coming into his own at this time. After his years with the Paul Butterfield Blues Band and his extensive studio work this was his time to shine. And this performance is an extraordinary piece of work. The production is sterling live work. Micky Thomas was just being introduced and Bishop's backup band were consumate professionals. The crowd is with them and this concert rocks from the opening song to the last. Not a bad song in it. A really great find. Thank God for the Biscuit material preserving such performances!
