This review is from: King of the Cats: And Other Feline Fairy Tales (Paperback)
This is a highly entertaining, comprehensive anthology for the cat lover, covering a wide range of cat subjects, with stories coming from many different cultures and times. The editor kindly gives concise background notes on the story's context to help the reader understand unfamiliar terms and traditions.I didn't like that the editor included multiple versions of the same story, as it seemed repetitive to hear the same tale with slightly different variations. However, sometimes these variations really increased my appreciation of the story. I liked that most of the tales have a strict cat focus, On the whole, I highly recommend this collection for cat lovers and folktale lovers.
