5.0 out of 5 stars "Hip-shaking King Creole." October 20, 2002
By Josh P.
Format:Audio CD
"King Creole" is right up there with "Loving You" Again, watch the movie first, then hear the teriffic music. You're going to love both. The main title theme starts off the soundtrack. High-energy tracks. They include "King Creole", "As Long As I Have You", "Hard Headed Woman", "Dixieland Rock", "Young Dreams", and more. This is a teriffic Elvis soundtrack reissue. The only flaw with this is even with more tracks it is still too short. Heck, I listened to it several dozen times, and I'm satisfied. What RCA can retrieve from the vaults, is what we get. We need more reviews on Elvis' music and his movies, PLEASE! It goes to show you how little he's appreciated in some areas.

5.0 out of 5 stars He plays something evil and he plays something sweet January 28, 2004
Format:Audio CD
This is the soundtrack to Elvis' fourth (and arguably best) movie. It features Elvis at the top of his game, singing great songs like "King Creole", "Hard Headed Woman" and "Trouble". This soundtrack was the first time Elvis worked with a horn section. This CD adds seven bonus tracks to the original album. I highly recommend it.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the best Elvis soundtracks December 27, 2000
By A Customer
Format:Audio CD
"King Creole" is a must for Elvis fans everywhere. I love the cover photo with him in that outfit. RCA and BMG really did an excellent job on remaking some of Elvis' career albums, and adding new songs on them. On "King Creole" all of the extra tracks except one had never released before! Elvis' daughter, Lisa Marie, is trying to get RCA and BMG to take all of the unreleased takes and songs out of the RCA vaults and release them all. I hope she succeeds. Right now, Follow That Dream records and RCA have relaesed six new CDs where everything is previously unreleased material. On track 16 of "King Creole" Elvis talks before he begins singing "Steadfast, Loyal, and True". He says "On the first part, the tempo? A little? Yeah? Really? Huh?" and after a second the music begins. You must own this if you are an Elvis fan!

Presley really shows a great range in style with this album. The soundtrack is the best of his career and one of the best Rock albums ever produced. A must for Rock fans!

5.0 out of 5 stars Mature female review January 18, 2007
Format:Audio CD
I loved this film when I first saw it...I was only 10 at the time and I learned all the words to every song back then and remember them now at age 58

The CD is wonderful...good sound, clear and just plain lovely..

5.0 out of 5 stars Dixieland Rock June 16, 2004
Format:Audio CD
This is a soundtrack of the movie by the same name. And it's good. Some songs have horn arrangements ("Hard Headed Woman", "Trouble", Dixieland Rock", "New Orleans"), "Danny" is a beautiful fifties rock 'n' roll ballad and the title track is fabulous!

5.0 out of 5 stars Elvis at his best June 16, 2006
Format:Audio CD
This was Elvis's very favorite movie that he made. From the first song "Crawfish" to the last, this is Elvis at his best. I bought this CD just for the Crawfish song. You wont be dissapointed if you loved the movie.

5.0 out of 5 stars BEST ELVIS SOUNDTRACK, PERFECT COMBO March 26, 2008
Format:Audio CD
I heard alot of Elvis soundtracks, but this is a perfect combination. That Dixieland New Orleons sound fronted by the father of rock, Elvis.
Rock was born all over the south and New Orleons is home of Dixieland Jazz, and who better to try it than Elvis, its like he was born for this type of music. I sometimes wonder why he didn't make atleast one upbeat Jazz album, i mean yeah he has a rock voice but listening to this made me realize he also couldve been a Dixieland Jazz Giant. Elvis and Dixieland is the best combo since Chocolate & Peanut Butter.

This is Elvis at his best, before Colonel Parker destroyed his career with insidious movies; I recommend it for your collection.

3.0 out of 5 stars Great film, soundtrack not so much
Great film, soundtrack not so much. It sounds like they took the music and re-produced it in digital. It was ok, but not like the music on the film. Dissatisfied in Washington.....

5.0 out of 5 stars Elvis Presley's best film soundtrack.
In my opinion, this was Elvis Presley's best movie soundtrack ever. Complete with ballads and rockers, this soundtrack fully showcases the King's full range, as a singer.
