This book reviews II Samuel and looks at the last half of David's life. (No Goliath story). The questions mainly ask what happened in the passages. There are few thought provoking or group discussion questions.

I think this is better suited to an indivdual study rather than a group. If you are looking for a group study guide, get something else.

I was happy to find such an excellent guide book for my small groups study of I and II Samuel , the story of David. There are two books that cover the topic, this one is the second book covering David's time as king. I like the focus, the group questions, and the introduction to each study. This study encourages the student to think about the deeper meaning to what he/she has read and how to apply it to their lives today.

I just love this book so far! You will learn in depth about King David and be able to apply his life to yours to live a better life by God. I am on the 4th study and have to say that it has really exceeded my expectations. I recommend this to others!

Ordered this book to use in a Bible study starting soon; thus I cannot give a really accurate rating until I have actually used the book in a study. I ordered it because it encourages its readers to not only learn the historical facts but to make personal spiritual applications from them.
