King of Fighters R-2 is one of the greatest games out. It has all the action of the latest fighting games without all the blood and gore. It is just simply a great game that you or your child will like.

I thoug this game is good for a King of fighters game but it didn't have as much SNK flavor as I expected.You should pick up a copy of Samurai Showdown 2! or wait for SNK v.s. CAPCOM, which is going to be the best fighting game for the ngpc!

A great fighting game with fluid animations, smooth controls, a surprisingly good combo system for two buttons, and team strategy that takes a while to master, King of Fighters has always been about choosing your best unbeatable team and kicking the crap out of the other guys. The same holds true here even for a handheld game. If you're looking for a title that will make your Neo Geo Pocket Color worth it, its this one.

This is why I bought a NEO-GEO pocket in the first place. The fighting games... and this one doesn't dissapoint. I found myself slammin and bangin all over town... when I should have done been doing something else. The only thing I didn't like was the lack of characters. Anyone whose played Match of the Millennium knows that the cart is capable of so many more. But for a cheaper alternative to MotM this is the ONE!

I have to say that this game looked really cool when it came out. It had everything you could possibly want, good graphics, lots of characters, and cool moves. But now, I just heard that they don't make this game for Neogeo anymore. (neither the neogeo itself) I would advise buying this game before it gets sold out, or you'll never see it again.

I got this game as well as Samurai Showdown 2 pretty close together. I had fun with this game and it was great fun but I wasn't hooked even with all the different modes of play. This is probably more critical because I am comparing it to SS2 but this is just my humble opinion. Now if I feel like playing a fighting game I would choose SS2 over this.

I've spent a lot of time playing this game and had fun doing it. I'm still not through with it although I am taking a break to play the neo geo baseball game which is killer!

My only other experience with fighting games like this had been the Mortal Kombat series for Genesis and Rival Schools for Playstation both of which I think are incredible. KOF R-2 does not, unfortunately live up to those standards, it's not nearly as violent or bloody as MK nor does it have as many cool moves. I would absolutely love to see neo geo put out MK 3 for the Pocket Color, I would pre-order. I don't know what it's like for Game Boy Color but knowing Nintendo they probably watered it down, I hope they don't do that for neo geo if they make it.

The only thing I can say about this game is that its a must have if you own a neo geo pocket. You don't know what youre missing out on if you dont get this game. It has the best graphics and all the colors that the other hand held games dont. Even all the characters super special moves are her, I cant wait for Capcom vs. SNK.

It was A cool shooter but, it can be pretty hard. I think I got my money's worth.
