Editorial Reviews

From the Author

King, King, Goose was created to be part of the promotional giveaway anthology The Twelve Days of Christmas. This promotional short story appeared in it and, in fact, can still be found within it. However, this version has been expanded in length. I hope you enjoy this taste of my writing and worldbuilding and I hope it leaves you hungry for more. It should be noted that King, King, Goose is a much lighter tale than I normally tell both in subject matter and sexual heat level and is not meant for persons under the age of 18. My work is generally much hotter in the way of the "bedroom". It is normally action packed as well. At the end of this very short story you'll find free excerpts from select titles and a booklist of works by me. Thank you and enjoy!

Thank you for reading The Raven Books.

This was a short story, it was for free, but I did enjoy reading it. King Najarni just has to make his Queen Tara happy that he wants for her to have a Human Christmas, but you'll have lots of LOL's reading about it. Just wish it wasn't too short.

This was a fun story. I found myself smiling and actually laughed a time or two. In the very least, it is worth reading for some fun entertainment. The cover had me thinking erotica so I was thrown off a bit but that's ok...

2.0 out of 5 stars Its Okay October 7, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
Short and sweet, and although enjoyable, it was not worth paying money to read. I wish I had passed on this book, but the cover and the blurbs made it sound as if this book would be very funny, laugh out loud. It is a cute book. If you are looking for great reads for low prices, pass this one up and look at other reviews. They are out there.

5.0 out of 5 stars Quick funny read... October 1, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
Lovely short story... It's a quick and funny read.

There are no sexy bits though so if you're expecting one of those erotica type shorts, then this isn't for you.

5 stars for the short... I didn't read all the other sample stories after so I can't vouch for them being good or not.

3.0 out of 5 stars Okay September 22, 2012

While the dialogue was clever and the idea creative, this story was so short that it was over almost before it began. Someone who wants a quick, witty read would like this; for me, it was merely okay.

This was nothing more than a blatant attemp at advertising. This was just a collection of excepts from the author in an attempt to advertise her writing. Read more

4.0 out of 5 stars King, King, Goose?
This was definitely a fun and sweet read. I was laughing through the whole story. But it was super short, like only 20 pages that you can read in 15 minutes.

More About the Author

Mandy M. Roth is an award winning, best selling, multi-published author who grew up fascinated by creatures that go bump in the night. From the very beginning, she showed signs of creativity. At age five, she had her first piece of artwork published. Writing came into play early in her life as well. Over the years, the two mediums merged and led her to work in marketing. Combining her creativity with her passion for horror has left her banging on the keyboard into the wee hours of the night.

Mandy has a Bachelors of Science in Business Management, extensive knowledge of marketing and an art degree. She lives in Ohio with her husband, their three boys and pup named Hercules. She was nominated for Romantic Times Bookclub Magazine's Reviewer's Choice Award for Best Paranormal Erotic.

Mandy has topped the Amazon bestselling charts more than once and has a loyal and steady following. She does cover art under the brush name Natalie Winters and is very involved with helping authors learn to market their books. In 2009 she and fellow author Michelle M. Pillow started their own small publishing house named The Raven Books. It spawned from the name of a nightclub in Mandy's wildly popular Daughter of Darkness Series. In July 2010 they opened The Raven Books to third party distribution and by Dec 2011 had sold WELL over 150,000 ebooks.

Mandy writes for The Raven Books, Samhain Publishing, Ellora's Cave Publishing, Harlequin Spice, Pocket Books, Running Press and Random House/Virgin/Black Lace.
