This recording will give you peace from a long day with assurence that God is with you. To speak peace be still to the storms of life that we all face at one time or another. That everything will be alright because can't nobody do me like Jesus. So, may the Lord God bless you real good.

Make no mistake, this road might lead to Jesus, but it's all about dues paid, burdens borne, and transformation through pain here. If Cleveland had done secular music, he would be considered among the pantheon of our Blues, Soul, and R&B singers. Sam Phillips said Howlin' Wolf's voice was a place "where the soul of man never dies." The same applies to Cleveland.

I brought this cd for my mother, however I really love this cd. Its the orginal James Cleveland.

I purchased this at a request of a friend because he absolutely adores James Cleveland. This is old school gospel music for the soul!! Can't go wrong with James Cleveland...unless you only like contemporary gospel. "King of Gospel" CD has music to encourage and uplift your spirit!

I purchased this album for my grandma and she loves it even I do. I grew up listening to this same exact one. My grandma used to play it everyday all the way through n she lost it. Every since she lost this album she has been looking for it to replace it n now that I am grown up, uses the internet alot more than she does I decided to search n look it up on amazon.com cause this is the website that doesn't let me down when searching any type of product for a reasonable price. I found it then bought it n now it is like old times again she plays this cd all the way through does not skip a track n listens to it everyday again. She couldn't be any happier than listening to this album it really lightens up her day n lift alot of weight off her shoulders. His songs are really uplifting n prepares u for anything stressful that may come your way. I appreciate great gospel artist like James Cleveland.

This was purchased for a friend who was fond of one of the songs she had heard from the CD. While she still enjoys listening to the song of choice, she has said that the entire body of work is too much of the same - a few songs are all she can listen to at a time. Very old school, as expected. A little redundant, not as expected!

This brought back memories from my childhood in the 70's when my grandma was alive and would sing along with her James Cleveland records while she cooked those huge Sunday dinners. I still like this music and always will. Rev. Cleveland took Gospel music to new heights; He was "before his time," as my grandma would say.

this is one of the greatest, most inspirarational recordings of all time, by one of the greatest artist of all time. a must have for all lovers of gospel music.

This is a must have CD for those who love inspirational Gospel music with the power of soul. The Reverend James Cleveland was a one of a kind minister who had the abilities to rock the organ, piano, and church! The songs on this CD are explosively good. I missed a lot of them, and sure am glad to have them all on CD and on my MP3 player. I play them EVERYDAY! It sure is needed in these days of turmoil and trouble.
