5.0 out of 5 stars Laughed 'till I cried, September 5, 2006
My husband picked this up for me from a junk shop as part of my 35th birthday present (the other part was a 3' tall St. Francis for the yard). I laughed until I cried. These guys (& 1 girl) are all amazing. One thing (OK, more than one thing) I found strange was that it seemed every other one was from Illinois. Is there somthing in the water?

4.0 out of 5 stars A Hunka Hunka Freakin' Weirdos...And Some Decent Folks Too, March 21, 2004
This review is from: King and I (Hardcover)
"The King And I" is a perfect book to lay out on your coffee table and have friends, neighbors, family and strangers pick it up and wonder just what the heck is this world coming to. Chock full of photos of Elvis impersonators--some good, some not so good, and some just downright scary, this book is a perfect conversation piece. From guys like Julian Campo, who thinks he has a spiritual connection to Elvis to guys like Frank Ianaggi, who knows that he can't really be Elvis, this book has it all.

Some of these guys take their passion a little too seriously, but for the most part, this book shows you that some folks just really love what they do. I guess that if Elvis makes getting through your day a little easier, it's okay with me. I'm not going to sit here and knock these guys for doing something a little out of the ordinary, because they are working, and I'm sure many of them are cleaning up in the money department.

In closing, get this book if you want a taste of life outside of ordinaryville, which isn't so bad. It's fun, it's silly, and you can get it at a really good price. I picked my copy up at a closeout store for ninety-nine cents. It was money well-spent.
