So I got a few points to make... and they're all good!

1. Sword got to me in the first day of the delivery estimate.
2. Looks JUST like the picture shows it.
3. It's long and very sturdy.
4. Material (Metal blade, Metal strapped with leather handle) is durable.
5. Added texture to the blade to get the "war-like" feeling.
6. Blade is nice and sharpened... won't kill anybody but looks beautiful.
7. Packaging was careful and sword got to me in great shape!

Once again, thanks for the sword. It was worth the $30 (Plus Shipping and Handling). My brother will love it as his birthday gift!

This is a very nice sword with a good heft to it, it is nice and sharp-sharp enough to slice in half a pumpkin with one swing-and looks very cool. A few problems with it are that the leather binding does not stay wrapped very well, it gets loose and uneven. Also, some people might say that this is a good thing, but it comes coated with this black oily stuff that is supposed to make it look like iron-and it does-but also for the first few days before the oil wears of (it still looks like iron-just it isn't oily) if you touch the blade you WILL get some on your hand.

I ordered this sword on september 20th and it arrived 3 days late. Overall I really like it! It looks like the one from the movie and is of good quality. Its carbon steel but is made to look like battle worn iron. Its solid and has good weight. its full tang. It doesnt come sharp at all, but that can be remedied with some proper sword sharpening.

Now the bad part. The one MAJOR flaw that i have with this sword is that it does NOT come with actual leather, its vinyl! For some this might not be a big problem, and for me, initially, it wasn't, But soon after getting it i was placing it back in its sheath and it cut right through it. now my sheath is ruined! also the vinyl rings that surround the grip tend to loosen and shift around, exposing the wood of the grip underneath, as well as preventing me from getting a good grip. also the sheath could have been better designed. the shoulder strasp connect behind it, and so the sword sorta dangles foreword. Had the shoulder straps been in the front, they would hold the sword against your body, firmly in place.

I think i should have weighted. I noticed that they seem to recently redesigned the sword. The grip is now black and hopefully they fixed the problem with the rings. The blade seems to look even better now as well. unfortunately i believe it comes with the same sheath.

I bought this for my son as a display piece. Honestly, for the small amount I paid for it I wasn't expecting such good quality. The leather sheath is heavy, strong quality and the steel is solid and sharp. I expected a lightweight flimsy wall display piece. Needless to say when I found out how strong the sword was I quickly placed it in a locked glass case.

I purchased this to go along with my over-the-top Spartan Halloween costume.

Everything I bought was replica, this sword included.

Pros: The metal blade was sharp and menacing. Heavy and substantial. Made me feel like I could hack an Immortal in half. It looks pretty darn close to the ones used in the movie, 300.

Cons: The sheath is crap. Pitifully made, I think it is of a super-cheap vinyl. It is paper thin with no hard backing like any good knife or sword would be.. The first time I took the sword from the sheath and tried to put it back in, the sword cut right thru the sheath and cut my thigh. Also, the sheath they shipped was straight black, not brown. And it was shiny vinyl.. Not authentic looking or replica in the least.. Only the sword itself looks legit.

Bottom line: If all you care about is the look of the sword then go for it.. If you care about the sheath then keep looking, or contact the vendor and ask for pics of the sheath specifically, and make sure you understand the return policy. If you have to pay to ship it back, you want to be sure.

I received the sword today, and it is incredible. Far better looking and feeling than I expected.

The sword has a good weight, is balanced, strong, and the metal from the blade extends deep into the handle. AKA Full Tang

The hand guard is made from a heavy and dense plastic, as opposed to steel. But it does not detract from the sword at all, because I couldn't tell until I actually felt it. To the eye, it appears to be steel as well.

The blade is actually fairly sharp, and care should be taken as to not cut yourself or others.

The handle wrap seems to be secured very well. If it does start to come off, I will rewrap it with leather cord, or possibly just reattach it with a stronger leather glue.

Addressing the comment from Andy. The oil on the blade is actually to protect it during shipping, so as to keep it from rusting during transport. Most of the oil should be removed with a dry cloth or paper towel. And applying a small amount of sword oil every month or so will add to the longevity and beauty of the blade. The blade does actually has a black texturing on it, giving it an aged look. It appears to have been applied very well, and most likely won't come off over time. I gently scraped at a small section with another blade and nothing would come off, proving its resilience.

One concern. The sheath that is said to come with the sword must have been shipped separately, since I have not received it yet. I received the sword 3 days from the order, and I still have several days of the estimated delivery to go, so this does not detract from my rating. I will make a follow up review of the sheath when it arrives.

When I first ordered this beautiful sword, there was some lack of communication btween me and the seller. But, it turned into a great thing because I found out how loyal they are to there customers. They were in constant communications with me until my problem was solved!! I would order agin and again from this company, Hanzo-Steel. Thier products are really great, but there customer care has won me over!!!!!

i was excited when the first got the sword, but my enthusiasm dropped a lot when i opend the box. it is a cool looking sword i will give it that, but the sword is extremely heavy, almost to the point where you have to take a break after a few swings. if you want to actually swing it a bit it will be easier with two hands. It is a good sword to hang up, but it is exremely heavy

I have one of the NECA props, which though nice, does not have he realistic features that this sword has. For the price an excellent addition for the collector or costume. Mine are in my home theater and look great.

Wow! First off, let me say that I was supposed to receive this item between the 23 and 27 and it ended up here the 21st and in addition, came very well packaged with no problems. I expected it to be like most "replicas" I find and be poorly made and not sharp with a dinky fake leather sheath. It most definitely is not any of these things! I am so impressed with this sword! It most certainly has some heft to it, and it is also full tang so the handle doesnt wobble or anything like that. The blade has a sharp edge, and the point at the end comes with a rubber protector on it because the tip is really sharp. Past reviews made me think the sheath was going to be pointless and cheaply made, but it's really not. It feels good and is tough, I am 100% satisfied with this purchase. If you are looking for an AWESOME looking functional sword, I would recommend this over any other.
