More About the Author
Charlie W. Starr teaches English, Humanities, and Film at Kentucky Christian University in Eastern Kentucky where he also makes movies with his students and family. He writes a monthly column on Christians and the Arts and Media for Lookout magazine and has published five books: two biblical studies, a science-fiction novel, a children's book entitled King Lesserlight's Crown and most recently, Light: C. S. Lewis's First and Final Short Story, which publishes a never before released Lewis manuscript and explores its origins and meanings. Besides writing for print, Charlie has acted as a consultant, writer, actor and/or producer on over a dozen short film projects. His most recent film (as producer), a music video entitled "Recollection," was accepted into three national film festivals and featured internationally on the U. S. Military's Pentagon Channel.
Charlie enjoys caving, writing, reading, watching bad television, and movies of every kind. His areas of expertise as a teacher include literature, film, and all things C. S. Lewis. Charlie and his wife Becky have two mostly grown-up children, Bryan and Alathia, and a four pound family dog named Phydeaux.
