In the days when every radio song is made from synthesized music, I really enjoy Sara's music because it's recorded with REAL musical instruments! What a concept!

This new song has an upbeat tempo and I enjoy Sara's ability to write such powerful lyrics. It's jazz and pop in one. I'm no audiophile and I have no background in music history but when I hear a song on the radio that makes me want to whip out my smartphone and Shazaam it, there must be something to it.

I thoroughly enjoyed this song especially the message that "it's ok to disagree". This touched a chord in me because so many people, especially nowadays, always think they're right and don't care to consider the opinions or feelings of the other party. So I like the message in this song that individuals, especially women, should remain strong and be able to think for themselves and have their own opinions. I'm not a feminist in anyway, well maybe a little ... haha. But I come from a culture where a woman with a mind of their own is scorned and frowned upon. So this song brings me hope and keeps me believing in myself.

Thank you Sara for writing and making this song!

Sara Bareilles King of Anything is profoundly different than anything I've heard this year. It's the perfect mood-lifting song that offers the universal message that one should make one's own decisions and do what makes them happy instead of bowing down to the supposed all knowing power of all of the Kings of Anything in this world. The track has some really unique elements of jazz and piano with strikingly unique vocals to create something that is really danceable and upbeat. This song serves as the perfect balance to so many songs out on the radio about the glories of sex or something because unlike that other music it has something worth saying.

I first started listening to Sara when she first came up on the charts with the 'Love Song'. Since then, I have followed her and listened to all her new tracks. I loved the music, the lyrics are always meaningful rather than just rhyming and boy does she have a great voice! I especially like some of the slower tempo ones as it really brings out her vocal talent! Can't wait for her next album and her next tour!

O, the people I would play this for...and let's just leave it at that. ;->

A seriously good reason why one should NOT get singers ticked off (even though it's a fun song). ;->

Who can ignore the brilliance and fun of this song? Sara Bareilles really knows how to capture the way people feel when they are not listened to but talked at instead!
