For many years now, we have heard people saying that rock music is dead. People keep waiting for an album that will reach the quality level of albums like Guns n Roses "Appetite for Destruction" and Pearl Jam's "Ten". Over the years, we've had some good hard rock albums here and there, but we haven't had one like this. The Virginmarys debut album is a hard rock album that lives up to some of the best hard rock albums ever made. "King of Conflict" is one of those albums where every song on the album is a great song. There is no filler on this album. Their songs are raw and powerful. Songs like "Bang Bang Bang," "Dead Man's Shoes" and "Portrait of Red" have so much energy you just want to jump to the music. The guitar is great, the bass thumping and the drums insane. Add that with lead singer Ally Dickaty's screaching vocals and you have what is the album to beat for the best album of 2013. Amazon's deal of $6.99 for this album is a steal and makes this a must for all rock fans. Buy this album now and thank me later.

2nd album from punky blues guitar power trio rockers out of England lays down raging,
thunderous chords and aggressive boogie chops. There is a palpable energy here, driven by
a gritty, burning, anthemic rock `n' roll ethos. Non-hipster, speaker-blastin', crank-it-up and rock
out music. Like a mix of Kings Of Leon, Foo Fighters, Biffy Clyro, 3 Colours Red, ZZ Top.

This is one of the best albums I've heard in a very long time! Such a genuine classic rock sound that many bands have tried but failed to achieve. What I really love about this band is that the lead singer is like a guitar virtuoso. He plays like he's already a legend and sings with such raw emotion with a rough, gravelly voice that was made for rock music! I love every song on this album, but "End's Don't Mend" is by far my favorite. One of the best songs I've ever heard with a guitar solo that's out of this world! This band has what it takes to become huge, so get on them now! :)

At last! Real, untainted, authentic, 100% genuine, good old, rock music from an exceptionally competent group of young musicians. Best album I've heard in decades This is how you do it. I hope this addictive debut album--not one bad track on it--ushers in a return to real rock music we've been missing-and hugering for for a very long time. These guys are destined to hugeness.

I really like this band, and this CD. Great music really good straight forward rock and roll. Hard to belive it's only a 3 piece band. Good effort.

Feisty music with sentimental lyrics. This trio hail from small town Macclesfield rendering them ultimately relatable and with big ambition they invite us to participate of their Rock n Roll journey. For the people, Ally's wordmanship is personal and poetic. A CD and live act that any classic lover will appreciate for the epic sound whilst those who still yearn with punk angst for a band that can make a difference will be thankful for VM's own brand of civil disobedience.

If you haven't read all the stunning reviews of this yet, go read them. I had the incredible opportunity to see them live and they were so good, the turnout was unbelievably small for how amazing these guys actually are. If you have any doubts about purchasing this, forget them. You're not going to regret buying this album, or their stripped recordings, or their first album, or tickets when they start filling stadiums...
