Don't get your hopes up (as I did) from the title: there is no "Journey into the Hollow Earth." The hollow alluded to seems mentioned only in passing, as the location of the wonderful beings of the ancient civilization and their wondrous store of lore. All of human knowledge, in fact, inscribed in stone - explaining why it's so hard to carry around.
Outside of that, all you'll find here is a zealous exhortation for all the people of Earth to come together under one grand theocracy, to learn to speak in the magical language of true meanings, and to welcome the benevolent hierarchs when we have proven ourselves worthy of those attentions. Although d'Alveydre refers repeatedly to his previous harangues, nowhere does he make clear just exactly what we're all supposed to be doing for this magical millenium to come to pass. I'm still not sure just what esoteric mysteries were actually revealed to d'Alveydre, but he seems mighty het up about them. On the whole, I can't think of a thing to recommend this book, unless you're a connoisseur of incoherent French blather. -- wiredweird

It is an interesting read. The seller shipped quickly and the book was in excellent condition. I recommend reading this if you are interested in learning about multiple cultures including those not from this planet.

This was originally writtem over a century ago by a Frenchman. It is a hard read and used many words were are not normally familiar with today. The information was rather limited regarding the details of the inner earth.

well,i got to say that this book was pretty old n outdated if u're gonna read it now cuz there r many latest books about the hollow earth n after reading those u'll find this book pretty boring n old information. plus they use alot of schorlarly n difficult words where normal pple won't understand cuz it sounds very political n intellectual. only benefit those pple who r scholars n proffesionals, not really for the common pple like u n me who prefer a book about hollow/inner earth to be written in layman terms n easy to read n understand for any n all ages.
But i must say there r pretty good infomation abt hollow earth here n there in this book tough but just too boring to read n understand. |
