I have to say that I have heard comments regarding how much older the characters look. Obviously those who have made such remarks have NO idea what Kingdom Come really is. The story is based in the future of our famed and beloved heroes. They have all aged (some worse than others., for e.g., BATMAN), and some even have children. I would expect someone in the know to buy these figures, but since they are so goodlooking and give anyone the impression that their money will be well spent, I suppose people will buy them have no idea what they are about. Alex Ross has created a very realistic, and impressive view of some of the most beloved heroes in existence and these action figures do not disappoint. A word of advice...don't play with them-display them.

Stick-on detailing is an odd choice, September 8, 2003

From a couple of feet away this figure is awesome, despite the fact that I can't get mine to hold his sword like he's holding it in the picture. His armor is impressive and the flow of his cape sculpt gives him a rather intimidating look. There isn't much in the way of articulation, but as a display piece he's pretty cool. The only real quibble I have is the fact that DC Direct used a sticker for the detailing on his armor, rather than painting it on. I accidentally pulled one of the stickers off his right wrist when I was trying (and failing) to make him hold his sword upright. I managed to get it to stick back down, mostly, and I've settled for a different sword position (holding it down, in front of him), but I wonder at the choice of cheap materials for an otherwise sturdy figure. If you're a big DC head like me, you'll want this figure. Lined up with the rest in the first series, he looks very tough.
