5.0 out of 5 stars The 80's Zepplin, February 4, 2000
By
This review is from: Kingdom Come (Audio CD)
I was introduced to their music back in the 80's and i loved them. Their music was a staple to any party we had. Over time, the tape i had of thiers got lost, which was a major bummer for me. The past few years i searched and searched for their CD and came to nothing but dead ends. So when i finaly did find thier CD, i was totaly stoked. Now that i have it, i am gonna guard it with my life. I just wish the 80's rock would make it's come back, cuz like many others we are waiting with baited breath.

5.0 out of 5 stars Ear Candy for the traditional 80's rock fan!, July 8, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Kingdom Come (Audio CD)
Growing up in highschool in the 80's, I remember the time period best by the music that was on the radio and blaring in my car. It was the music of great metal bands like Great White, Judas Priest, Cinderella, Ratt, Poison, Def Leppard, Ozzy, Motley Crue and of course... KINGDOM COME. This album is a must have for any fan that grew up when long-haired pretty boys dressed in snakeskin pants, donned make up and raised hell on stage. It was cool to have long hair and live for a cold beer, a good buzz, fine chicks and rockin' tunes in the old '85 Z-28! Kingdom Come contributed to the "atmosphere" of the times and carried on a proud tradition that was started by rockers of the mid and late 70's, giving fans in the 80's hard and heavy tunes that helped vent fustrations during those "wonderful" Reagan years.

5.0 out of 5 stars Led Zep rip off?...Whatever.....These guys in a word, ROCK!!, July 28, 1999
This review is from: Kingdom Come (Audio CD)
Too much attention was paid to who they sounded like as opposed to what they sounded like. Kingdon Come blasted on to the 80's Hard Rock scene with this debut and simply rocked. Cuts like "Pushin' Hard", Living Out of Touch", and "Hideaway", cut deep with razor-sharp precision. Hard edged guitars combined with a booming low end gives each song enough power to satisfy even the most skeptical rocker. A Must-Have !

5.0 out of 5 stars GREAT, January 15, 2012
This review is from: Kingdom Come (Audio CD)
There is a reason this CD has all 5 star ratings but the reviewers, it's solid. Lost in the shuffle maybe at the time and that's too bad but it's 2012, I am hearing this for the first time and wondering why we have to put up with today's crappy music on the radio when this stuff is on the shelves!

5.0 out of 5 stars Im liking it !!!!, November 25, 2011

First things first. Ive always loved Zep they woke me up in the early 70's. Kingdom Come is no early Zep however they do sound like Zep in the later years to a point. I'd say its the vocals of Lenny Wolf that sells the biggest Zep comparison, because he can sound a whole lot like Robert Plant and theres nothing wrong with that.

That being said Kingdom Come can stand on their own talent merit and sound. This is a heck of a band. Im a new comer to Kingdom and I love what Im hearing I bought the cd In Your Face first because it was locally available and Im a fool for a cover with a speaker on the front of it and a bold title such as In Your Face! I did no wrong , In Your Face is a great cd, Id heard Kingdom Come S/T before with some beers in the blood and wondered if what I had heard was really that good. Well it is !

So if your wondering about this band, lay your doubts aside and pick up both of these cds. Your in for a treat with a band that sounds like it stides on perfection, and throwing out some darn good rocking tunes in doing so.

I never heard of these guys until we bought tickets for Monsters of Rock in San Fran, I just love these guys-who could not love this voice? I like Stacy was so bummed because all I had was the tape and with an upgraded player in my car I looked for this CD everywhere. I am so happy to find this on CD!!
A side note: I went to school with one of the band members, never even knowing! makes it even better seeing as he was a great guy :)

5.0 out of 5 stars GREAT CD all the way through!!!, July 19, 2009
This review is from: Kingdom Come (Audio CD)
I had the cassette tape of this when it originally came out and can still remember the first time I heard "Get It On" on the radio. The radio stations all thought that it was a reunited Led Zeppelin with Jason Bonham on drums. After a few weeks of teasing the listeners, it came out that the band was actually called Kingdom Come. Backlash ensued with critics referring to them as "Kingdom Clone". But after buying the cassette tape and giving it a listen to, I was VERY impressed with these guys debut. All the songs are killer....no filler! And this coming from a guy who was raised on Led Zeppelin and considers them ROCK GODS!!!

Definitely buy this CD if you are a fan of GREAT 80's rock!!! You won't be disappointed!
