Joseph Stowell does an outstanding job of providing a balanced look at the various "conflicts" the typical Believer faces. This book is part sermon, part lecture, part personal Bible study. It could probably be used fairly successful in a small group study setting as well if a good facilitator is used. This isn't deep theology, but the format is friendly for the lay person and the outlines are memorable and simple. All in all, a good book for regular folks who want to be challenged and equipped. In my opinion, Chapters 10 and 11 are the best in the book overall.

This book is a must read for all serious Christians! It is excellent in it's content and style of writing. It is informative. The enemy of the Christian is so subtle in his tactics. It's good to know something about his warfare, and how he wages war against us. We must know the Word of God, and we must be wise to the tricks of satan. To be well armed, we must be well informed.
