Beautiful and Profound,
By Greg Mason (USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Kingdom (Audio CD)
This is one of the best ambient, instrumental CDs ever made. There is great variety in the songs. Each one will speak to you in a different way. Porter's deep spirituality comes through on every track. Critics, fans, and artists agree: Kingdom is a major musical accomplishment.

So beautiful,
This review is from: Kingdom (Audio CD)
Kingdom is one of the most played CDs that I own. Eric's music is incredibly beautiful, inspiring, moving. His talent is amazing. Each song is like he wrote it just for me. I look forward to more wonderful songs from this talented musician! My favorites...Temple of Fire and Soft Ascention! So very powerful!

The Whole Shebang Review Vol.5, Issue No.2, March 1999,

This review is from: Kingdom (Audio CD)
From the first drumbeats, followed by gorgeous synthesizer-generated woodwind and string sounds, it is obvious that Eric Scot Porter has served up a moving and first-rate CD of electronic music. Those readers who are familiar with the sounds of Andreas Vollenweider and Ray Lynch, will be comfortable with Porter's creations. This is not forty-five minutes of background music, but rather serious compositions showing a depth that belies his youth. "Dancing with Angels," a favorite with most listeners, due in no small part to the serious reggae drum groove, is a delightful melodic tune that stays in one's memory, as does the Celtic-tinged "Temple of Fire," with its very nice violin moments. Audiophiles should take note of the fact that this CD was mastered in Hollywood, CA, by Gavin Lurssen at The Mastering Lab, one of the top facilities in the country. Eric's willingness to go to the expense of having this work done by the best in the business, is yet another example of his attention to detail and devotion to his craft. "Kingdom" is a sure bet CD. In the modern day market of mass music, this is one CD that truly stands out and that you'll be glad to have in your collection.

You can feel the inspiration of this truly gifted artist in his music. It's a must in everyone's collection; it must be experienced! It allows me to take that much needed "mental vacation" that so many of us require at times!
