I did not buy this to use for much of the main game. I like to basically go through the story elements and boss fights on my own. However, just the lists of command recipes ALONE made it worth it to me. Its a surprisingly complex system that is hard to figure out without something like this. The other reason I got it is just because I'm a huge KH fan and like to collect the game guides for all the games I get :)

Amazing book with everything you need to beat the game and get that secret ending. Nice glossy cover and high quality paper makes it a durable book. The only thing is that you have to be careful if you don't want to spoil the game. Only look in the section of the character you're playing or you might be tempted to look at the others. Oh and be careful about the bestiary because of course its got the face of the final bosses and those are HUGE SPOILERS. anyway 5 out of 5

Best guide ever! I love this company when it comes to guides. I own the guide for the DS KH game as well and its just as good! Very in depth, you wont find a better one online, and the illustrations make things 1000x easier to understand! VERY worth the money! My husband made a huff about me buying this because it was $20 when I first got it and now he understands why it is so much and agrees that it was worth the price. Great product!

Always great to have a guide if you plan on going through the game when it comes out. If I get games late though I just get the guides off the internet. But overall good guide

Birth by sleep being a new game all together, i chose to play the game on standard mode to get the feel of it before i choose to highten the difficulty. I personally, as a kh fan, like to beat my games 100%. So ever since ive beaten the game, ive been working hard to meet the requirements to obtain the secret ending(only accessible by completing the reports section in standard mode). Compared to the requirements to get the secret ending of kingdom hearts 2, birth by sleeps requirements are on a completely different level. The two biggest problems you'll encounter is the command and ice cream section. There are numerous commands to collect and to make it worse, you can meld commands, and meld melded commands once more, making it a tedious process(ice cream flavors go under command section). If your playing the game on standard and want to see that secret ending, this book will help you get there much, much quicker. It carries two in-depth command tables that will help you with melding and obtaining abilities(one for if you know what your getting and one if you dont know. The book gives even more helpful detail like mirage arena, but those other sections can easily be figuered out on your own. To wrap this long review up, if your playing on standard mode, and want to get the secret ending, YOU NEED THIS!!!!

Bradyganes brings the spirit of a great guide such as first Kingdom Hearts' back.
I also own KH2 guide from Bradygames, the quality was still great but the guide content and distribution wasn't very handy.

A worthy item.

This book is amazing, from the scans I have seen. It gives you comprehensive walkthroughs of every world, mini-games, even Vanitas's Lingering Spirit (Sentiment for the Japanese). I believe that this game/guide will be the best things that we've ever gotten in America to date

I pre-ordered this game months ago, I got an email the day it came out telling me that it was shipped, very good service. It came a few days early even, I was very impressed.

(Sept 3rd)It seem Amazon made a mistake, saying this item came out in August. Generally strategy guides are not released until the day the video games are released, in this case September 7th. Delivery date estimates are matching a release date of that day

(Post release)The Guide does a good job of covering the story for all three characters. neither excellent nor terrible.
