This review is from: Kingdom o' Magic (CD-ROM)
This game's graphics are very dated by today's standards. The animation looks choppy, and the art is pixelated. But that's not what you play this game for. This game is a really cheeky good time. The story has some fantastically hilarious plot points. This game lampoons classic fantasy humor, especially with parody of Lord of the Rings. There's a lot of things to do, the world feels quite expansive.
Overall Kingdom O' Magic is a point and click adventure game. You have a collection of items, and you must use them at the appropriate location, somewhat like King's Quest. There's three quests to choose from at the beginning; the one called the Bizarre and Slightly Twisted Quest has some plot points that are so bizarre you will probably have to consult the internet for help. One spot calls for you to use the hairspray and the lighter to burn large spiders until they turn into raisins. Very bizarre.
I really enjoyed this game when it came out. If you want a quick laugh, pick it up, it's cheap and you can probably get it to run on the DOSbox.
