5.0 out of 5 stars Easy way to improve work relationships
I read this book in one sitting and immediately ordered one for each of my employees. Kingdomality is an easy and powerful way to understand how others at your workplace process information, make decisions, and perceive others. It is also applicable in personal relationships, and has helped me numerous times from jumping to conclusions simply because someone did not...

2.0 out of 5 stars Interesting idea, so-so execution, terrible reading in the Audio book
Here we go again, another personality classification system and the author's premise that if you can stereo type people you can manage them more effectively. I don't see what this system has over other personality classification systems, such as MBTI (which has been around longer and more people seem to be familiar with).

The book tries to be humorous, but...

5.0 out of 5 stars Kingdomality: An Ingenious New Way to Triumph in Management, December 24, 2004

If you liked the One Minute Manager or Raving Fans you will love Kingdomality!

This is a very creative team building tool. I encourage you to go to the Kingdomality web site, find out what your role would have been in the medieval kingdom. Then read the book and use it professionally or personally to understand how you and your team/friends best work/play together.

5.0 out of 5 stars An Incredibly Valuable Tool for All Working Teams, December 23, 2004

(REAL NAME)
I have used the Kingdomality Program with many work teams and with my church council over the past 8 years. It is an entertaining and valuable way for individuals to understand the powerful impact of personal style, preference, and motiviation - and how that diversity can drive team results or cripple its capacity.

You may be familiar with other programs based on the same psychological underpinnings. However - the Kingdomality program presents this material in a manner which is fresh, entertaining, and provides imagery and vocabulary that allows a work team to put it to use.

The book is a great read and a good place to start with this program. The website is a complementary tool to allow your team to put this to work.

I highly recommend this book and this program!

5.0 out of 5 stars Not the same old business book, November 23, 2004
Take a parable, merge it with the populace of a medevil kingdom, add some very savvy psychology and you have an above average book to help you understand yourself and deal with your co-workers.

This one has a fun website associated with it. www.kingdomality.com. Find out who you are, have your co-workers take it to find out who they are, and then take a look at the book. The quiz is uncannily accurate, and if nothing else, you'll bond with the people around you over this.

5.0 out of 5 stars A must-have, January 28, 2005
Not only is this book an ingenious new way to triumph in management, it's also an ingenious new way to write a book about management.

Business books are normally dry, paint-by-numbers texts that are tough to plod through.

Not this business book! Bowles doesn't lecture readers--he delights them with a witty tale told 'once upon a time' style, cleverly explaining how a savvy ruler can get the most from his followers through simple observation and easy-to-learn techniques.

Besides being informative (and 100% on the money), Kingdomality also does something NO OTHER book on management has ever done. It entertains.

When you finish the book, you've not only learned a great deal, but had more than a few laugh outloud chuckles, and too many smiles to count.

Bowles proves that learning, even if you're a high-powered Fortune 500 executive, can be fun.

Stephen Covey could take lessons from Sheldon Bowles.

4.0 out of 5 stars Fun, if a bit soft, January 11, 2005
I found Kingdomality through their online quiz (www.kingdomality.com) and bought the book when I saw it.

It's a nice story, if a little bit soft, but it does show how different personality types can interact. The advice is useful at work, at home, with various friends.

Plus it's a lot more fun than poring over pop-psychology jargon.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Creative Approach to Diversity Awareness, December 29, 2004
The Kingdomality® book gives a whole new twist to improving relationships and valuing the diversity of talent that individuals bring to their personal and professional relationships. While the bottom line in business is productivity and profit, we all know that this is only achieved through the individual and collective contributions of people. The Kingdomality® book is really about understanding yourself and knowing others in a delightful, insightful way--one that makes us all seem more human to each other regardless of our individual positions in the medieval kingdom or today's corporate setting. A great read.
