This book is probably the best of it's series!,

This review is from: The Kingdoms and the Elves of the Reaches Book 3 (Keeper Martin's Tales, Book 3) (Paperback)
Adrina, Emel, Seth and Vilmos find themselves in another great and suspenseful adventure that will leave you wanting to read more and more. Just like in the previous excellent book in the series, Robert Stanek has successfully surprised his readers with a two-thumbs-up ending! Truly, this book will astound everyone who reads it. This book was of a medium reading difficulty level from the beginning to the end of the book. I had to visualize many of the scenes in order for me to understand the book even better and it came alive in my mind. If you have't read The Kingdoms and Elves of the Reaches 3, you should! This book is my favorite in the Keeper Martin Tales series.

Enter the Kingdoms!,

This review is from: The Kingdoms and the Elves of the Reaches III (Keeper Martin's Tales, Book 3) (Paperback)
My 14 yr. old son is a huge fan of the Kingdoms books and I must admit I am too. Robert Stanek is indeed America's Tolkien, a gifted story-teller with a knack for creating believable worlds and fully-realized characters. Many of the characters become like old friends and even the minor characters truly are interesting and real. The story itself is detailed and rich but Stanek doesn't allow the action to slow, keeping everything moving at a solid pace.
The Kingdoms and the Elves of the Reaches #3 continues where the first two left off. The kingdomers begin to pick up the pieces of their lives after the battles at Quashan and Alderan broke the uneasy peace between the kingdoms. A new force continues to emerge from the shadows even as the evil king and the shapeshifting queen are being dealt with. Very highly recommended and you'll want to have all four books on hand.

More than 5 stars...,

This review is from: The Kingdoms and the Elves of the Reaches Book 3 (Keeper Martin's Tales, Book 3) (Paperback)
The Kingdoms & The Elves of the Reaches Book 3 isn't your average fantasy. Fans of Tolkien, Rolwing, Brooks, and Pullman should take note. I've never been so deeply enthralled, so deeply moved by a book, and a book for 9-12 readers no less. I was amazed not only by the clarity and focus of Stanek's vision but by his ability to paint marvelous scenes as if on tapestry. The entire book is a tour de force the likes of which fantasy fans have been craving ever since Tolkien introduced The Hobbit. If you've never read a book by Robert Stanek, start here, then go back and read all the others. In this book, Stanek comes into his own as a writer, a rare type of writer than can truly deliver. He accomplishes more in these 200+ pages than I've ever seen, where most fantasy writers take 800-1000 pages to accomplish 1/2 as much. Highly recommmended, you are going to like this.

THIS BOOK IS AMAZING,
This review is from: The Kingdoms and the Elves of the Reaches Book 3 (Keeper Martin's Tales, Book 3) (Paperback)
I've read all 3 Kingdoms and Elves books, and each is better than the last! Stanek has an amzing imagination and I was so looking forward to reading his 4th book after this one. It is a fabulous book with a somewhat sad ending. But not that sad. I will say no more because if I do it will spoil it. It is a great book. I recommend them to any person who wants to read a good book full of excitment, mystery and adventure.

The Kingdoms and the Elves of the Reaches 3 is a creative magical book by Robert Stanek. It is a fiction-fantasy novel with dragons, elves, dwarfs and other mythical creatures. The setting in the books is always changing which I admire. It keeps you from getting bored by you not knowing where you're going to go or what is going to happen before you get there. The main characters are Adrina, Vilmos, and Seth, but also their friends Emel, Xith, and Myrial. Full of adventure and realistic characters, this book is for anyone who likes adventurous books.

I've read Mr. Stanek's Keeper Martin's Tale and Elf Queen's Quest. I happened upon this book (which I know is YA) and bought it because it looked to continue where Keeper Martin's Tale left off. The good news is that it does, meaning fans of Kingdoms and Elves of the Reaches and Keeper Martin's Tale can enjoy this book. (Note of caution the adult edition of this book will be out in March 2003 as Kingdom Alliance but I just couldn't wait).WHAT'S SO GREAT? Mr. Stanek's world which we just started to see in the early books is truly blossoming in this book. Visits to under earth are breath taking. The dark elves are fascinating. Edward the troant is hillarious. I loved King's Mate. I loved learning about the gates and orbs. I loved meeting myrial. She's the newest and greatest character. RECOMMENDED? Yes, this is the best, most fun series I've ever read and that says a lot.

This addition to the kingdoms and elves series is my absolute favorite. A must read. I have read this book 3 times and it just gets better and better. I have read all the other Kingdoms and Elves books several times over too! I'm 12 years old and kingdoms and elves is the best book series I have ever come across. Robert Stanek is the best author, only he can write a book like this. When you start reading you are swept away into the world of ruin mist. I can't not wait until book 4 is released. I thin that this book deserves more than 5 stars it deserves infinity stars Kingdoms and elves is a great new series that will be around and remembered for years to come.

Where is #4?,

This review is from: The Kingdoms and the Elves of the Reaches Book 3 (Keeper Martin's Tales, Book 3) (Paperback)
It is by far my favorite of the Kingdoms series, but it should come with a warning. It is very difficult to put down! It is far and away the best of the Kingdoms novels, yet RS eloquently captures all moods and emotions. If you cannot stand to be out of the whole Kingdoms world for very long, this is a must-read. Come on RS, where's the fourth?

Great Addition to My Favorite Series!,
By Henry St. Michael "tekken" (Buffalo, NY USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Kingdoms and the Elves of the Reaches Book 3 (Keeper Martin's Tales, Book 3) (Paperback)
This fantasy series is the greatest thing in a long time! The characters are interesting. They have flaws, unique personalities and can die! Mr. Stanek writes better than anyone else. Another thing I love is that each book in the series is important to the overall story, and everything is moving forward quickly unlike in a few other fantasy series. The unpredictability of the series and this book is tops! I can't wait for the next. Excellent job, Mr. Stanek!
