After her marriage breaks up, Jeenie returns to Kingowan and takes a job in an antiques shop. Her employer, Adrian Challis, seems friendly, but when he tries to seduce Jennie, she rebuffs him. Then her husband appears, begging Jennie to take him back. She refuses, and finds sympathy and support from Adrian's friend, Ian.
