4.0 out of 5 stars Song at beginning of tournament in Reno, July 14, 2007
This review is from: Kingpin: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack (Audio CD)
The song (not on soundtrack) that is playing when Munson throws the first strike at the Reno tournament is called Something in the Air by Thunderclap Newman.

Call out the instigators
Because there's something in the air
We've got to get together sooner or later
Because the revolution's here, and you know it's right
And you know that it's right

We have got to get it together
We have got to get it together now .........

5.0 out of 5 stars fun cd, February 27, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Kingpin: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack (Audio CD)
this is my all time fun cd, i loved the movie then bought the ST thinking it would contain Freedy's Bad reputation, but when i found out that the song on the cd is completely different i was a bit disappointed until i heard the cd very well & it's worth every single penny, really cool. If you like the soundtracks of "there's something about mary", "dumb and dumber" then this is it.

5.0 out of 5 stars EXCELLENT CD...MISSING SOME KICK A** SONGS THOUGH...., March 18, 2008
This review is from: Kingpin: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack (Audio CD)
i must say i really enjoyed the movie...so much i've seen it a million times but what i dont understand is why are some songs missing??? there are songs on here that dont belong, why put these on there & not the ones actually in the movie??? like "hello darkness" or "showdown" by simon & garfunkel & elo....disappointing but if you can look past that, its a reall sweet movie along with some kick a** music!!! still upset though about them songs not being on here & the nerve to put on the ones they did.....

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent CD, April 8, 2002
By
Oskar (Charlotte, NC) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Kingpin: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack (Audio CD)
First a disclaimer: my brother, Billy Goodrum, has a song on this album. But I feel confident saying I would give this a positive review if he were not. (And I've often told him his song here "We Should Always Be Together", is the one of his I'm most sure I would like if he were not my brother...it is truly gorgeous.)

That out of the way, this is a really fun CD to own. The selections range from get-down-and boogie ("Surely" and Miss Fabulous") to the haunting ("This Perfect World", "We Should Always Be Together") to the cheesy ("Disco Inferno"). Not to mention tried and true rock journeymen such as Blues Traveler and Todd Rundgren. It's pretty safe to say that if you can't find anything you like on this CD, it's because you don't like music.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great soundtrack, October 4, 2007
This review is from: Kingpin: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack (Audio CD)
Great soundtrack but i can't believe they left out that song by Simon & Garfunkel that goes "Hello darkness my old friend". The scene where he's throwing up in the toilet after having sex with the nasty apartment lady. Classic scene. "Oh shut up tiger it wasn't that bad". Or better yet "What is it about good sex that makes me want to s!@#!" haha too funny
