Kyle's best, which says a lot!!,
By Rob Weiner (Santa Fe, NM) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The King's Commissar (Hardcover)
In this wonderful thriller, Kyle takes the age old story of the Romanovs and adds a twist and new ideas. It all begins when a banker finds an account that has been receiving money since the early twentieth century. When he begins to investigate, he receives the first part of a manuscript about a plot to rescue the Czar. The banker must obtain the next pieces of the manuscript in a number of clever ways. Even though a certain chapter in this book is 50 pages long, I read the whole thing quite quickly. When I put it down, heart pumping, I realized it was the best thriller I'd ever read. There is a great twist at the end, which bring to a close this fine thriller.

One of my favorite books,
This review is from: The King's Commissar (Paperback)
I read this book back in the early 90's and again a couple of years ago and even after many book's before, after and in between,it still remains as one of my favorite's along with and right up there with The Godfather,Jaw's,Gore Vidal's Burr,Sharpe's Rifles,Vince Flynn's earlier books,Alex Berenson's The Faithful Spy and GMF's incomparable Flashman. If you'd like a great historical adventure story that will keep you on the edge of your seat,or a great story about Czarist Russia during the Revolution, this is your book.

A thoroughly riveting story. Have no hesitation to recommend it to anyone interested in the events of the Russian Revolution and the murder of Czar Nicolas and his family. Don't know how much "truth" is in the story, but, to my mind, it is an excellent tale. Łance.
