This review is from: King's Field: The Ancient City (Prima's Official Strategy Guide) (Paperback)
In playing many video games that have puzzles, and lengthy objectives, it is sometimes frustrating to progress past places that are designed to challenge you. Most times, I can do this easily, but other times I have brain farts, and can be frustrated. That's where things like this strategy guide comes in. A readily available help to get me back on track, and keep my enjoyment as good as possible. Prima has a good reputation with me, for having comprehensive in-depth and most importantly, easily understandable explanations along with important illustrations to get even the most challenged player to complete any and all tasks for many games. I try to complete the games on my own for as long as I can, but sometimes the game designers get to a point that the solution to the challenge will be so obscure it causes gamers to shelve the game. But Prima guides have a way of presenting everything in easily understandable and informative ways so as to get any player to a point of maximum satisfaction in completing even the hardest games. Knowing what to do is different from actually doing it, so even knowing what to do is not completely giving anything away. That's what makes these strategy guides a valuable addition to gaming libraries.
