Finally it appears as if network television is finally getting that audiences are sick of hospital shows, buddy cop and really bad sit coms.
Kings is an amazing watch, well-crafted, and acted with an incredibly believable story line. Hats off to Michael Green, the writers (especially to you guys), producers, and entire crew for crafting a show that is intriging to watch and imaginative!

This is amazing. Great concept, great script, exciting plot, great cast, fantastic acting. I can't understand how NBC could have bungled this so badly that it didn't get multiple seasons. I hope it will get the reception it deserves online.

I have a bad feeling. It's the feeling I get when I watch a pilot for a new TV show, and wonder if that show will finish as strong as it started. The pilot for Kings was exciting, intriguing, and full of twists. After watching it, I was ready to see the next episode. The characters are believable and fairly well developed, and the plot is unpredictable enough to keep me guessing. My source of concern is the obvious, as well as the veiled, allusions to Biblical characters and events. Some of these references are a bit cheesy, like "David Shepherd" for instance, standing up to an army tank named "Goliath". My question is about the motive for these references. I'm so used to hearing Christianity and Judaism mocked and diminished, that I'm a bit paranoid. My feeling is that the characters in this show will be a very mangled manifestation of the real characters, and this distorted view will serve only to replace the real lessons from history with more politically correct, humanistic ones. I sincerely hope this is not the case. It is yet to be seen what the "gay character" on the show, Jack, the son of the king, will contribute. Hopefully, it will not be more of the "pro-gay" propaganda that is so common in prime time. If NBC keeps the PC forces at bay for this show, I'll be a legitimate fan.
