Product Description

In the magical kingdom of Daventry, Queen Valanice is concern about the lack of interest by Princess Rosella in pursuing marriage. As they stroll along the Daventry countryside discussing the princess' future, Rosella is distracted by a reflection she sees in a pond. When a strange creature pops out of the water and then back in, Rosella is intrigued and dives into the magical pond to follow. The startled Valanice immediately plunges in to save Rosella, but a whirlpool has whisked each to a different part of a magical realm called Eldritch. While searching for each other, they both learn that this wondrous world is haunted by an evil enchantress named Malicia. Traveling between the Desert, the Vulcanix Underground, the town of Falderal, the land of Ooga Booga, and Etheria among others, each meets many interesting characters including the Three Fates, the Headless Horseman, and the Troll King. You must help Queen Valanice and Princess Rosella to defeat the evil Malicia who plans to destroy Eldritch. Only then will Princess Rosella find her true love and long-lasting romance.

5.0 out of 5 stars Difficult, but good, March 5, 2005

I'm still working on this game, but I really love this. The graphics are great, for an earlier game, and the plot line is wonderful. This is a great fit into the earlier King's Quest series, and finally, you get to play the female character.

This is much more mentally challenging than the previous games, and certain parts do seem almost impossible, but with a lot of work, you can get by. As always, humor is incorporated everywhere, along with interesting worlds, and in a few parts, some extremely creepy characters. One part feels very "nightmare before christmas".

I really do recommend this as a non-violent, thinking game for kids. It's proof that you don't have to shoot up a bunch of characters to have a good game time!

5.0 out of 5 stars Oh the memories.., December 9, 2006

This may not be a new jazzy 3D computer game, but I can honestly say it was my favorite computer game ever - the entire King's Quest series is fabulous. It's interesting, challenging adventure puzzles, a great story line, and the animation is very nice even for the time.

5.0 out of 5 stars Game I'll Remember for a Lifetime, December 11, 2009
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: King's Quest VII: Princeless Bride (CD-ROM)
I grew up on King's Quest. My parents were playing King's Quest I when I was in the womb, and every time a new King's Quest came out they would play it. When I was very little, it was exciting to watch them play the games. As I got older, I would be very eager to help them solve some of the puzzles. By the time King's Quest VII came out, I could practically play on my own and it was such an amazing experience to explore the lands, meet characters, and solve problems with all of the items in your inventory. I learned a lot about mythology and fairy tale lore. I played through this game multiple times. Fifteen years later, I STILL think about this game. Somewhat often. I remember with nostalgia my favorite levels, favorite characters, favorite scenes. This game was so clever and contained a lot of humor. The graphics were bright and fun. I will always think back fondly on this game.
