After first use of an eight hour slow cook on the grill the colors completely faded into a black and white scale. The glass on the top was permanently browned and almost opaque. Thinking the glass merely had grease I scrubbed it very aggressively to no avail. I do not recommend this product.

great quality thermometer, gives me an accurate temperature on the grill, I especially like the color area, for ex. the low and slow, don't have to stress my eye sight in on the hot smokey grill to see that its in that range,

I purchased this thermometer hoping that it would give me the exact grill or grate temp. Works just like it said it would and it's a plus for cooking steaks and Etc.

I always read the reviews on a product before purchase and I would truly recommend this product to a friend.

Pros: reads temperature of grill at the grate

Cons: thermometer face turned brown and glass browned, so cannot read dial after 4 uses. Slow to respond to temperature changes.

my gas grill has a built in thermometer that is mounted in the hood and provide little function when the hood is open. this grill level thermometer is perfect companion when doing open grilling.

i find that the temperature is pretty accurate but it does take some time for the reading to settle. with a already hot grill, it took at least 2 mins between putting down cold and then settling down.

I use this grill thermometer on my Weber Smokey Mountain smoker and it is very accurate. It is within a degree or two of my digital meat/grill thermometer.

My husband really like this thermometer. The temp is very important when cooking of course. It helps you to know how long to leave your food on the grill. He said it is sturdy and remains acurate. good buy

I bought these for my smokers and can't say enought good about them. Very accurate and makes smoking a breeze. Excellent product.

Use this guy this past summer to 'smoke' some rib on a bbq grill. Smoking ribs on a grill is not ideal and really should be done in a smoker but that a story for a differernt day. The thermometer, imo, worked perfectly in direct heat and off to the side.

I was hoping there was going to be some way to clamp it to the grill there wasn't. If you prefer to know the temp of the grill surface were the meat is, this a nice cheap thermomether.

The thermometer works but it is very small (about the size of a camera lens). Its just a little difficult to read when you are trying to lean over a hot grill and you may or may not have smoke blowing in your face. It does have a small problem with fogging (as someone mentioned in another review), but it does eventually go away.
