I've been a life-long lover of Southern Gospel Quartet Music, especially the Kingsmen, but this CD is a waste of your money. The quality is horrible, compared to what we're used to today.

This CD appears to be a re-make and judging from the cover photo, may have been recorded in the early 70's. I based my opinion on the white patent-leather boots that the men...

5.0 out of 5 stars Classic Kingsmen, June 6, 2010
This review is from: The Kingsmen Sing (MP3 Download)
Great sounds of the early Kingsmen! Johnny Parrack on tenor, Eldridge on Baritone. What more could a Kinsmen fan want? This rare recording being remastered to CD is a welcome find!

This CD appears to be a re-make and judging from the cover photo, may have been recorded in the early 70's. I based my opinion on the white patent-leather boots that the men are wearing with their matching, white suits (6-button coats, & I'm not referring to double-breasted!).

It appears that Eldridge Fox had black hair back then! The guitars look like something from the 1940's!

Look at other Kingsmen projects for the Kingsmen "sound" you're used to!
